Gregory Tempo D1.5 Hydration Waistpack Review:

Another great pack from Gregory

So far I have used this pack on multiple 5, 8, and 13.1 mile runs on trails and roads. I wear it as a lumbar pack which means the strap is just above my belly button.

In this position there is no bounce even with a full bottle. The bottle is very snug - no chance of "bottle ejection" on a trail run. However like any other snug fitting pack that means pulling the bottle is a two handed operation, one on the bottle the other on the strap conveniently located on the bottle cage.

The use of a hook rather than buckle is the comfort highlight for me. It reduces bulk across the front and gives the feeling of the pack wrapping around me rather than strapped to me.

You can fit keys, lip balm, energy shots, and other small items in the two hip pockets. There is a lashing system on the back that a wind jacket can fit into. There is space to clip on a smart phone, but mine will not fit in the hip belt pockets.

Have not owned the pack long enough for a definitive answer here. However the material and craftsmanship are rock solid. I have no doubt this pack will join the other sweat stained Gregory packs that I have used for years.
