cant be beat

I shot a deer at 24 yards, broadside, slightly quartering away. The deer's front leg was slightly back in the pocket. I pounded it in the front shoulder area passing through the shoulder blade, the rib cage, nicking the heart and through the far side rib cage just forward of the far side front leg. This deer immediately wobbled and piled up 8 yards from where shot. Massive blood and a gaping wound. The deer was lifeless in less than a minute. Once I recovered the arrow, the broad head surprisingly had not one indication of damage after passing throughl that bone and tissue, and ultimately the ground. I have no worries about reusing this broad head in the future. If you are considering a mechanical broad head, put any worries to rest with this one. They fly true and kill on contact...good luck.

Really do their job!

I used the Grim Reaper Broadheads for the first time last season, They shoot like field points and make a huge entry hole. I liked them so much I bought another set. If the arrow suddenly stops after the head has deployed the blades will retract. A nice feature if you have to field dress an animal when the arrow has not passed through. I liked the fact that this mechanical head can be shot at quartering animals and the arrow will penetrate before deploying the blades. It will not deflect and there are no rubber bands to retain the blades.

Good mechanical broadheads

I have used these broadheads for a long time and they work very well as long as you place a good shot. They fly like practice heads and when you connect well they create good blood trails. I shoot about 54 pounds and use the 1 3/8 inch razor tip, with bleeder blades, i would avoid using the 2 inch version unless you are shooting 65 + pounds.

Best Broadheads on the Market

I've been using these broaheads since 2008, they fly true, have great penetration and leave awesome bloodtrails. I'll never switch to anything else.
