Works Good!

I fried an egg to test it without Pam, grease, or butter and it did not stick. I let water stand in it for 15 minutes afterwards and then cleaned it with no soap and no scratchy pad, just a sponge and it came out clean. I also found I could store four bags of oatmeal inside the cook kit plus a sponge.

The handle got warmer than I expected but not bad. Perhaps you're supposed to leave it off while cooking? I also didn't like leaving the handle inside the kit exposed for packing as it might scratch the surface.

One also needs "no stick" cooking utensils to avoid scratches. They won't fit in the kit.

great deal not for the ultralight camper

This is designed for the camper that isn't a gram weinnie.
It cleans up easily, cooks evenly, and for the price is a great deal. I am going on 5 years with this setup and it still performs great.

Great Value

Well made. Compact considering the size. IMHO, Not for minimalist/ultralight use. I like the detachable handle and use it with other pots in my kit. The plastic cup and bowl made my 10 year old very happy. Like the non-stick surface, clean up is a breeze.
