Coffee is a must have for me

As an avid outback camping enthusiast I must have my coffee to keep me going on the trail. I own the JetBoil French Press coffee system and am happy with that but this lil' gem of GSI espresso maker is a welcome adission to my mess kit. Easy to use & clean it makes a wonderful 4 shots of espresso for when I need it most.

Best espresso maker yet!

I have purchased three of these backpackers and have given two away after extended use to friends who didn't have an espresso maker. I LOVE this product! It's stainless steel and I can't break it! It is dishwasher safe, packs wonderfully, and I can use it anywhere anytime (that there is a heat source).

Great product

If you use this product as much as me, eventually the gasket will wear out. I started using it as a wildland fire fighter on a little campstove, but have another one that I use at home, stovetop.

This thing rocks!

I bought one of these in 1987 and it lasted for 25 years. Used it daily at home, in camp, on extended river trips. Incredible quality and durability. And you can get extra gaskets from GSI.

I love this coffee maker.

I use it daily. While it is a little time consuming, the coffee is very good.

coffee spatter

Good Italian coffee maker,
One of the rare solutions where the coffee will not be boiled after extraction (a risk with regular Italian coffee maker where the coffee is collected in the top part of the device).
The only problem is that you need to find something convenient for collecting the coffee able to avoid to spread hot coffee all around…
