Negative Reviews:

Poor Quality Control

First of all, serious props go to Campmor customer service. I complained about the plates being the worst of the lot and they sent me four new ones and didn't even ask me to return the old ones.

I wanted these because I grew up camping with a blue enamelware set and the nostalgia factor hit me hard. The old ones did chip around the edges, so the addition of a stainless steel edge wrap is a good idea for the new set. Unfortunately, this set was made in Mexico with absolutely no attention to applying an even coat of enamel. There are thick blobs and runs of enamel hardened in place over almost every piece. Not just small bumps, I mean these look like they were painted by pre-schoolers practicing splatter paint techniques. The new plates that were sent to replace the old ones were even worse.

I also noticed that the metal is considerably thinner than the old ones. They'll work for camping, so I guess I'll keep them until I find what I really want, but you should understand that GSI's picture is practically false advertisement (they all look flawless in the picture). One last slap in the face was trying to get the stickers off of every single piece. I ended up using a hairdryer to melt the glue. Otherwise, you'll have to wash them half-a-dozen times to get the stickers completely off.
