Fun and Surprisingly Handy
I wouldn't normally buy a special cup for drinking alcohol while camping, but I bought these just for fun as a gift for a friend. I thought they were silly at first, but they have grown on me quickly.
The cups work well for wine, but we mostly use them for mixed drinks. It is much easier to see what you are mixing in a clear "glass" than in our other opaque camping cups, and these are the right size and shape for making a drink.
You do have to be careful measuring liquids by eye because the bottom of the glass bulges out some, so it can be difficult to judge how much of something you have poured (compared to a conventional tumbler, per se).
On the other hand, the bulging bottom of the cup makes the glass very stable, even when set on uneven ground, which make is very practical for camping in a way that a wine glass with a stem might not be.
The glasses are small and light and pack easily into any bag/box, and we have ended up using them quite often for juice and other non-alcoholic beverages.
I did consider purchasing the stainless steel version of this cup, but decided on the plastic because I wanted a clear glass and because of the relative cost. I have been very happy with my choice, especially since the edge of the cup is quite narrow around the lip, so the metal might be less comfortable to drink from.
Cute, durable, and useful
We bought 2 of these almost three years ago and use them all of the time at home and in the backcountry. The perfect size and shape for wine (get a couple of 750ml platypus wine flasks and you're set), or for any other beverage.
Being a plastic, they do eventually get scuffed, but you probably won't be pulling these out of the cupboard at home to entertain friends anyway, so who cares? They are very durable-- you'd probably have to stand on one turned on its side to get it to crack. Shove a camp towel in it and it won't take up any extra space in your pack.
We've taken these everywhere from Zion NP to the Rockies to the back porch. We expect to keep using ours for many more years and on many more adventures.
Use around the pool
I just got a couple more of these, as the first one I got has held up so nicely (and I needed to pad an order a few more bucks to use a coupon)
These are inexpensive, and I do find them comfortable to use.
Glass is not allowed on my condo pool/rooftop area, so I use these quite often.
I agree with the earlier post, that these bring a smile to my face also... I'm not sure why. I guess the quirky shape. Comfortable to hold.
The bridge of my nose does usually hit the outer rim, but I was blessed with a generously proportioned snoz, so I can't blame that completely on the design.
For the price, these really can't be beat.
Love These Glasses!
I bought these glasses to use for car camping, but have found we use them quite often in the backyard when grilling on the weekends. So great for enjoying a glass of wine with good food and not worry about breaking good stemware. The stemless design is nice looking, yet very stable; and the plastic is surprisingly sturdy. They're small enough to fit in a pack or overnight bag, but hold a decent-sized serving of your favorite beverage. Cheers!
Great travel wine cups
These are great packable wine glasses. These were purchased for our son, we have had a pair for a couple of years and take them on hikes and travel with them. The non-spill feature is a bonus to their functionality. Next time you travlel and drink your wine out of a platic water glass, think of these instead.
I have a set of these and a set of the stainless steel ones and love them both. I do not like taking glass to the pool so these work well. I prefer stemless because as I get tipsy, the drink does not.

Perfect for bathrooms, unbreakable
Origianlly got a few for riverside camping in Oregon - where you do not want to risk broken glass. Worked perfectly. Then got a couple for home after a glass had fallen in a bathroom and shattered on the tile. This is a safe, reasonably attractive alternative.
I love the spill resistant (not spill free) bottom edge to the cup. If you tap it over accidentally, the bottom rim keeps it from knocking over completely whereas, with a stem glass it would definitely spill right over.
This is an amusing little glass. The size and shape make this product a simple delight to use. Whenever I bring it out, a smile comes to my face. What more can you ask for? Lightweight, durable, and inexpensive.
Adds elegance picnic or hike
Beats a solo cup all to bits for a nice glass of wine with an outdoor supper while watching a play or concert.
