You HAVE to try these! | |

| I love these chews. They are easy to eat, good taste... a bit sour, but sit well in my stomach, and don't upset the gut. I have been using these of and on for about a month and have really enjoied them. They give sustained energy, not a boost... just continued strength for 45-60 min per pack. They are soooo much better than the gels for taste and general eating... I don't see me using anything else. For an "Energy" product, these are the closest items to candy I've eaten. Gu hit a homerun here! I run 5-8 miles per day w/ 8 min pace. Hills, flats, you name it. | |

Excellent | |

| Used the new GU CHOMPS for a slow 20-mile run and they are excellent. From what I can tell, they work just as well as the gels. But, like most of you, I can no longer stand the test and texture of the gels ... strawberry and blueberry chomps were great. Just a hint of saltiness and 99% like candy. No more gels for me! Great product and five stars. | |

get the BB-Pom | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Out of all the companies that sell gummy-type items, I like the GU chomps best. They go down easy (if swallowed accidently during hard efforts you won't choke), are tasty, and provide sustained energy. The strawberry tastes bad, but the improved version of the BB-Pom is good. Haven't tried other flav's yet. Good enough that sometimes I eat one or two pieces for desert or for a snack. | |

quick acting | |

| GU Chomps are delish and the effects are quick; they have dragged me out of a bonk more than once. Also, I like the fact that they go down easy with or without water. They are a little hard to open while biking, so just make sure you open the package before you head out! | |

Not the best I've tasted

| Bought the orange and tasted one of my friend's strawberry. Liked the strawberry better. These are definitely better tasting than gels, but still have some of the taste of gels. I much prefer the taste of Honey Stinger Fruit Smoothies, but I wonder if they provide the same boost as the GU. | |

Awfull taste (blueberry/pomegranate)...
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I've been using the old GU gels and the new ones for 5+ years and I have been very satisfied (I just want the big refil packs back!). Now that I just got the chomps and tried them (at home) I feel I can describe them in one word: awful! No idea if all tastes are the same, but blueberry-pomegranate is all I bought. Being too sour can be tolerated, but the texture, the taste, the aftertaste... Even if they provide better power than the gels I cannot convince myself to eat them again (will stick to GU gel). I recently tried Powerbar's GelBlasts and they are a lot better. | |

Worst of the Bunch | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I almost feel bad about writing this, GU missed the buck on even coming out with a gummy. But these are truely awful. Out of all of the ones I've tried, these taste the worst. I could not even finish one packet. They are oddly bitter and salty and have a texture a touch too reminicent of stale gum drops | |
