Exactly what the doctor ordered....

Rating:*****
I bought this on orders from my doctor. I'm an avid cyclist and she didn't like the fact that I was spending 2-4 hours a day riding with the top of my head exposed to so much sun. Now I don't go on rides without it. It keeps me cool in the summer (I live in Arizona) and surprisingly warm in the winter. And obviously I no longer suffer from striped sunburns on the top of my head. I bought two more and I just rinse it after the ride and hang it up to dry. It never stinks and has held up quite well. As an added bonus it does a wonderful job keeping sweat out of my eyes (I guess that was manufacturers intended use). Like I said, I won’t ride without one anymore.

Does what it says and then some

Rating:*****
Definitely keeps the sweat out of your eyes. Before I got this I had to pull off my sunglasses and wipe my eyes with my riding gloves, which is not the safest way to ride.

It also does a decent job of adjusting with the temperature. On hot days I felt cooler and on cool (50 F.) days it kept my head comfortably warm. I haven't tried this in colder temps, and have my doubts it would be enough.

The one downside it has is fashion sense. My wife gives me endless grief about it. My solution is to pull it off with the helmet whenever we stop for long breaks.

No more sweat in my eyes

Prior to buying this, when playing 2-man beach volleyball, I would constantly get sweat in my eyes. Also, when taking long hard bike rides, I would run into the same problem. Halo Protex to the rescue!!!

I was a bit apprehensive as to whether this thing would actually work. But, after a 40 mile hilly bike ride, and several weekends of 2-man VBall, I can say that this thing works like a charm. When I tie it snugly, I don't get a single drop of sweat in my eyes, regardless of the duration of my workout.

Sweat regulator

I sweat reading a book, so its imperative that I have a means of keeping sweat out of my eyes. The rubber strip that sits above your eyebrows does a great job redirecting the seat to either side (read, not into your eyes.) I wear this cap when mountain biking and when running. It fits perfectly under my helmet. Be mindful however if you have a date planned after your ride; the rubber strip tends to leave a red line across your forehead. Small price to pay for sweat free visibility in my opinion.

Halo Protex

I bought this for my hubby...he LOVES it! Keeps him from getting "vent burns" (sunburn in the shape of the helmet vents) The halo sweat band kept the sun out of his eyes, and every time we came upon a creek he was able to dunk it and keep cool! No odor as of yet...6 full days of riding in Idaho's high desert...hot, hot, hot!!! I have the non-adjustable headband which is too tight but now I am thinking I will need to get the tie-headband! He just raved about it all week...

Finally - no sweat in my eyes

Rating:*****
This is the first product I found found that stays in place and really keeps the sweat out of my eyes. It dries quickly, fits really well under a helmet, and stays in place and even through hours and hours of riding/training I did not have to keep wiping the lenses on my glasses. It also dries quickly when washed. I bought one to try it and am heading back to by another one. I have 3 other kinds and none compare.

Don't you just love it when something does exactly what it claims it will ? This little beauty will make your helmet fit cozier as well as keep the sweat out of your baby blues. An all-around dandy product.
