Hammock Bliss Sky Tent 2 Review:

a sensible hybrid

Effective as a combined rainfly and bugnet, although this also means it's not possible to use rainfly and bugnet separately (say, to moongaze safe from mosquitos, or to make use of space under the raintarp for other activities); At 3 pounds, it's heavier than some tarp/bugnet combinations, but lighter than others, and I found it more affordable than buying both. On a few small points, I may make modifications: it needs visible/reflective/glowing zipper-pulls rather than black pulls on black zippers against black bugnet/floor materials. Black guylines, especially on entry-door side, also need swapping out for visible ones. Also the ridgeline is thicker and heavier than necessary (though it does have helpful reflective threads). You'll also need four stakes, not included. Stuff sack placement (outside the enclosure) is a bit odd. One the positive side, it's great that the stuff sack fits not only the sky tent itself, but also one's hammock (or two) and tree straps (but not sleeping bag or underquilt, etc.). So, after initial threading-through of hammock, the whole thing can be set up and taken down pretty efficiently, and it's just one bag to pack. I've used only three nights so far -- with just the one hammock, and no heavy weather -- so I can't comment much on "bunk" hanging or protection from blowing rain.
