Head Collective 105 Ski -

Head Collective 105 Ski - Men's:  The Collective is a helicopter’s power control.  HEAD’s brand new chopper-inspired Collective is a source of great power - whether you're throttling up or down, the Collective responds.  If you are seeking one Western ski for every day, any condition, in any location, the Collective would be the tool of choice. With Tip and Tail Rocker (TNT) and camber underfoot, this ski allows you to effortlessly float over untracked powder or carve turns through the crud and bumps.  As part of HEAD's new Big Mountain “Flight Series”, the Collective features Tip and Tail Stabilizer (TTS) technology: an exoskeleton made of fiberglass-enhanced elastomers built into the rockered areas of the ski for vibration reduction, stability, and torsional strength.  At 105mm wide, the HEAD Collective is as close as you can get to a Western one-ski-quiver.  With these skis on your feet, you know you'll be ready for takeoff.

With the Head Collective 105 Ski sitting anxiously in the mud room waiting for ski season to begin, you find yourself daydreaming of fast, fluid turns down steep, big mountains. This ski's Allride Rocker profile (20% tip and tail rocker for soft snow floatation and shock absorption and 80% camber underfoot for hard snow carvability) means you're able to plow through soft snow conditions, crud, and mushy snow with ease. Made to handle all-mountain terrain, the Collective serves as your fast-and-furious ski in varying soft snow conditions.
The Collective features Sandwich Cap construction which is a wood-core laminate layup with shortened vertical sidewalls and a cap that wraps just over the top edges of the sidewalls. As a result, you have a ski that's exceptionally durable, that provides solid edge grip, and that has a touch of forgiveness. To further ensure that the Collective can take a beating, Head equipped the Collective with TuffWalls technology (impact-resistant ABS sidewalls) to maintain responsiveness and ensure durability.
Built with Head's TTS (Tip and Tail Stabilizer System), this distinctive exoskeletal structure in the tip and tail has raised ribs to prevent twisting and to allow the thickness of the ski to be reduced at the extremities (reduced extremity thickness equals reduced swing weight). An ISS (Independent Suspension System) is also incorporated into the tip, tail, and underfoot structure to dampen vibrations and reduce the annoying "tip flap" for a super smooth ride during low- to high-speed turns.
The Diecut UHM C supplies a durable workhorse base material that you can rely on for seasons of skiing abuse. Ideal for those who love to charge into deep powder bowls, lay fast, fluid tracks down big mountains, or go powder-stash hunting in the trees, the Collective ensures a super smooth ride from tip to tail.

Evo (2014)
Those sick inlays on the tip and tail aren't just for show; they are part of Head's innovative Tip and Tail Stabilizer System (TTS). The TTS reduces the swing weight of the skis while also adding torsional strength to reduce the dreaded tip and tail chatter that occurs while charging on variable snow conditions. Paired with an ISS-Independent Suspension System in the tip, tail, and underfoot, and AllRide tip rocker, TTS makes the Collective series incredibly responsive and stable on all snow conditions. With super durable TuffWall sidewalls and a Sandwich Cap construction, the Head Collective 105 Skis offer bomber performance anywhere you decide to take them.

Head Collective 105 Ski Reviews:

Ive been riding the Collective for a few months now and I'm loving it!
The stiff cambered mid section means its stable as, and charges at speed whilst still having enough rocker in the tip to float through pow and chunder alike.
I would describe it as a solid all round big mountain ski.

The Collectives are a fast and fun ski. With is reduced swing weight thanks to its fiberglass tip/tail, you can not only charge down the hill, but make quick precise turns with very little effort. I Wouldn't trust any other ski.
