Heddon Moss Boss Lures Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

What an experience. What a lure.

The Heddon Moss Boss has been one of my most favorite and most productive nighttime lures over the years. The smaller one seems to catch more fish but two weeks ago I had an experience that I just have to share. Normally I hook up the Moss Boss with a wacky worm. When reeled in slowly it resembles a frog. However, at 2 a.m with a full moon a shinin I put on a worm lengthwise and I just thought to myself it really does look like a mouse going across the weed mat. With that thought all I could see was three feet of wings and giant claws grabbing my Moss Boss and flying off with it breaking the line. Not only I thought it looked like a mouse but evidently a huge owl also thought it looked like a mouse. All I could do was sit in my boat and think, "Tell me that didn't just happen." Then I began to laugh almost uncontrollably. Moss Boss is now my BFF.

Truly the best lure for top water slop and vegetation! I have caught many 5 pounders with this lure in the North East!

Heddon Moss Bass Lure

Comes through thick vegetation without getting hung up. Easy to cast and retrieve which is good especially in windy conditions.

Negative Reviews:

its certainly weedless

I bought two of these under the promise of their weedless nature. With that being said I have never fished a more weedless bait. Otherwise this lure is a failure. I have fished it many ways and it refuses to lure fish. If I pause on the retrieve then the lure sinks which is the only time it is at risk of getting snagged. There have been instances I have been destroying bass on frogs and I switch to the moss boss. You'd think there wasn't a fish in the pond. If you enjoy practicing casting through the slop then pick up a dozen. Otherwise get a frog.
