Superior product @ a bargain price

I have been wanting to buy this product ever since Jimmy Huston used it on his TV show. I was not able to find it. Lo & behold! Dick's has it on sale! Wow! It is a fabulous product. not only does it perform well, it also has several other features of a much higher- priced rod and reel. The reel has 4 bearings; plus it has the instant anti- reverse feature. The rod is an IM6, a feature of a more expensive rod. They both, rod and reel, look very cool in the camo colors. Thanks, Dick's, for a great product at a low price!

Not bad

Listen i might be a pro but i dont know who jimmy houston is alright or kevin van dam i just dont. Why spend 120$ on a fishing pole thats the same as everything else but listen this pole is good i jigged a tutti fruity tube (recommended) and caught a 16 inch bass and 3 6in crappie the pole bent and had good action i say you buy this cuase to buy fishofluage it is exspensive!! thank you Tim

Negative Reviews:

poorly made

after two weeks i had nothing but problems out of this rod the shaft of the rod came loose so the reel was never even with the eyes so i taped it in place and then a week later the tip broke off i would not rocomend this fishing pole to anyone and the bail on the reel clicks against the handle when you are reeling in

Disappointed

I barely had this rod/reel for about an hour when the rod snapped on me. There wasn't even a heavy fish on the other end. If your fishing for something that weighs more than a pound it wont last....I'm super disappointed...the reel on the other hand is smooth and felt great (during the time i had the rod in one piece)...

JUNK!!!

This rod is a piece of junk, don't waste your time or money on this. Bought 5 of these rods all broke, took them back and got new rods and they broke. I had one that broke when just throwing it out. Wouldn't take one if they were free.

CHEAP BUILT

I bought this rod and reel combo for bass fishing with soft plastics. It's a good combo until you have a fish on the other end of your line then, you'll end up with a permanent two piece rod

i dont see the problem

i bought this rod, simply because of the fact that its camouflage and under $40. i didnt expect much from it, but it is actually a pretty nice combo. i have used it in the river, lake west point, ponds, creeks... everywhere. and it hasnt failed me yet. its not very smooth, i will say that... but my rod hasnt broke, my reel is still in good shape, and i still catch plenty of fish. i have caught a few nice fish with it including a 3 1/2 lb shoal bass, and a 8 lb west point hybrid as well as 12 other stripers and hybrids that day. so its not the best rod... but its no where close to being as bad as everyone is making it out to be.
