Before you take junior out into the cold for some quality one-on-one time, make sure he’s geared up with warm baselayer bottoms like the BodyFit200 Leggings from Icebreaker. He might not yet know exactly what merino wool is or be able to articulate exactly how its non-itchy natural fibers regulate his body temperature, but he’ll remember the great time he had and want to come back out with you next weekend, which, after all, was the whole point.

Fabric:

  • Merino wool’s natural fibers provide excellent insulation, resist odors, and, unlike traditional, long-cut wool fibers, merino wool’s fine-cut fibers are soft to the touch
  • Icebreaker’s merino wool garments are temperature regulating—meaning they trap heat on cold days, yet maintain a high degree of breathability that keeps your boy warm without overheating
  • Flatlock stitching pattern reduces chaffing
  • Icebreaker makes its products in a way that supports New Zealand farmers, ensures overall welfare of the sheep producing the wool, and promotes sustainable manufacturing

The best

Got this for my 11 year old son. He spends 5 days a week on the mountain and Icebreaker seems to be one piece of equipment that stands up to his abuse. Super warm and the wool fabric never seems to get that "funk" at the end of the day. Both aspects are pretty important from a mom's point of view.

awesome

I love icebreaker for myself, but it is even better for kids. The fact that it naturally resists odors thus requires less washing is reason enough to buy, for a week of skiing you only need 2 pair, as opposed to one a day of the synthetic stuff. Not at all itchy either which means no complaining :)
