| Looked like a good replacement for my plastic nalgene: stainless steel, no fuggly plastic; wide-mouth accepts water-filter. A little heavier, a little bulkier; but still looked promising. Before taking it to Glacier, I field-tested it in the backyard. The ol backyard shake down. Unfortunately, it immediately failed when I simply laid it down in the tent. Seems like the plastic cap and lip has a vent. Even screwing the cap down very tightly did not stop water dribbles when rigouroulsy shaken. I can not tolerate water the slightest dribbling in the tent--hard on sleeping bag and clothing. This item won't make it in to the backpack. | |
