A new addition to the Isis collection, the Isis Aura Jacket for Women is constructed from a waterproof/breathable stretch polyester fabric and is ideal for skiing and snowboarding, hiking in the rain, or just as a stylish overcoat on blustery days. With a high coverage microfleece lined standup collar, the Aura blocks out the cold and feels soft against your skin. A attached contoured hood lays neatly against your back when not in use so that it doesn't flap in the wind or fill up with rain or snow. 9-inch core pit-zip vents have welt closures so they are easy to open and close singlehandedly and the laminated shaped hem and drawstring closure that provide good protection from wind and snow while flattering the female form. As an extra feminine touch, Isis has added a snowflake print on the rear hip.

You want a ski shell that allows for layering underneath but that doesn’t have a tenty, bulky look (especially around the waist). Isis made the Women’s Aura Jacket with a regular fit that leaves room for layers and that is contoured at the waist.

Finally got to try this shell out skiing, and it was amazing. Slopes were wet and nasty and I stayed dry and toasty. A note on fit; I have a long torso and fairly broad shoulders and this shell fit me the best out of all the shells I tried on in-store. The store only had boring colors, so I was lucky that Backcountry delivered. | |
