Great shoe for walking after you break them in! I was a little worried about these at first - they seemed tight across the ball of the foot and came up high on the heel as others have mentioned. I have to order J-41s a half size down (usually an 8, ordered 7-1/2), but there was plenty of toe room, so I could tell the shoes weren't too small. I bought them for a trip to Italy where I would be doing a lot of walking, so spent several days breaking them in for short periods around home and it worked! When I got to Italy they were very comfortable and fulfilled everything I was looking for - airy/cool (it was in the 90s the entire time), good traction (for uneven stone staircases), but way better looking than the sneakers, flip-flops or Keens, etc. that I saw other American tourists wearing.

This shoe is a half size too large for my feet, and the back also came up a bit high, so it hits my heel. I am going to order the half size smaller to see if it will resolve this problem. Otherwise, the shoe is great for wider feet, has good arch support and cushioning and is really comfortable. It also looks quite stylish for such a comfortable shoe, and would look great with more casual skirts, dresses and pants. I can't wait to try the smaller size.

Perfect - I have these shoes in 4 colors and I've replaced two pairs after a year and a half of constant wear. So I've actually purchased a total of 6. They are the perfect, comfy and cute shoe. I like to be able to walk comfortably whenever I need to. Great with skirts, pants and jeans. Compliments all the time. It is very hard for me to find shoes that feel right since I've had some foot and ankle injuries that make me sensitive.

Great flat shoe - This can be worn for dressy or casual. It is very comfortable. May need to go one half size up. The only drawback is if you wear hose, the velcro on the strap will stick to it. You can walk in these shoes all day. Wish Zappos had it in the Black/Brown combination and some other combos out there.

Great little ballet flat - Makes big feet look cute. Very comfortable. This version may take a little more breaking in than the all leather version; the heel strap tends to dig in a bit, whereas the leather ones are softer and give to your foot. I love the shoe and it is casual and cute and comfortable all at the same time.

Sporty yet cute! This shoe has a nice arch support, the comfort of an athletic shoe without the bulk. The shoe runs fairly true to size and width. I wanted a walking shoe that was more open and this fit the bill. Great for a day of shopping or on vacation.

Cute but painful - This is a wonderful shoe when it comes to looks and short-term wearing. I have had trouble with heel blisters, however, even though it doesn't seem to slide. It is comfortable for a few hours but causes long-lasting pain when worn for a whole day.

The perfect comfort shoe - To me this shoe is just as comfortable as a sneaker. I like the rounded toe and the non-slippery bottom. I think it is quite stylish for a basic sport shoe that really does look good with jeans and sporty attire.

Finally, an attractive shoe to roam city side streets all day and yet still be appropriately dressed to dine in that out-of-the-way restaurant you discover on your journey. These will be going on safari with me this summer as well as to Europe!

Just what I was looking for - These shoes were perfect for tooling around on vacation (lots of walking, variable surfaces). Looks cute on and is super comfy. I'm generally a size 10.5, the size 10 in this shoe fit correctly.

Uncomfortable - These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. I am so disappointed because I think they are really cute, but they hurt!

Escapade - I'm not absolutely sold on this shoe being as great as all the reviews claim. It takes a break in period due to it's stiffness, which can turn into wounded feet in a hurry. Don't want to wander too far off in these shoes! If I grow to love these after they're broken in, I will review the shoe again. But at this point after three weeks reservations still run high!

Cute but painful! An adorable shoe but the straps across the toes are stiff and caused me acute pain when I tried to walk a few blocks in them. Wearing them does not seem to break them in; the straps are as uncomfortable as ever.
