Jambox by Jawbone Bluetooth Speaker/Speakerphone

This little speaker feels like a brick in my hand and produces a Huge 3D sound, thanks to the LIVEAUDIO feature that can be turned on or off. It's such an awesome, clear sound that makes many of my friend's and neighbor's heads reel in amazement. The bass is great too and actually thumps when sitting on a table. You can even feel the bass when you hold it in your hand.
It's loud. A neighbor 3 houses away complained that my music was too loud. So, I took it over to his yard and I showed him where the BIG sound came from by handing it to him. He was red faced that he complained about such a small speaker but smiled and said it was still too loud. Then I turned the volume up even more. He just shook his head in amazement but he was impressed and said that he wanted one too. So, don't let anyone tell you that this thing doesn't rock!
It replaced my laptop's trusty Logitech Z305 when I'm outside on my deck. Now I can hear my movie or music over the rumbling of the trains a quarter of a mile away taking parts to a nearby GM plant 24/7. Prior to it I had trouble hearing the voices when the train was slowly passing by or blaring its loud horn. Not now!
Also, the LIVEAUDIO feature makes the sound seem more immersive. Not like surround sound where the special effects still seem like they are coming directly from one of the speakers, but like the sounds are coming from all around me and not from any particular speaker. If you can see a bee flying around on the screen you can hear it buzzing around your head. It sounds very real! That can be startling especially late at night when watching a scary movie and a sound suddenly springs up from behind you. The hairs on the back of your neck will stand on end! Video games like Skyrim or Call of Duty come alive too. You can pick out where the music instuments are coming from too when listening to your favorite jams.
Longish lasting battery from 8 to 10 hours depending on how much volume is applied. It's rechargable via micro usb. It comes with several usb cables and an outlet plug. Has a travel bag. I have not tried to use my phone's micro car charger yet to charge it but that would be a great plus for using the speaker in the car as a speaker phone while driving on long trips. Now for the bad:
It's less than $199 at Walmart but it's still expensive.
It pairs easily but sometimes the Pairing light still blinks after the bluetooth device has been recognized. That's annoying when watching a movie in the dark.
Some people don't like the sound when I use the Jawbone as a speaker phone. They say that I sound echoey.
It makes a disturbing beep every time I up or down the volume using the onboard controls.
Travel bag isn't big enough to allow for the charger and cords together.
But, the problems are not enough for me to subtract a whole star. So, maybe I'd give the "little speaker that could" 4 1/2 stars rather than 5.

I walked into a Sprint store and realized the music playing throughout the store was coming from a Jambox. I was surprised! I had never heard of Jambox, but it's all I can think about now! I even got to test how it played from my phone. The sound quality is amazing and clear. I'll be picking one up very soon!!!
