Excellent for everyday! I have a pair of these with the X6 Chameleon lenses which just adds the photochromic aspect and I love them! I have eyes that are very sensitive to the light and it gets pretty bright here in Minnesota around all these lakes. I wear them everyday. I get some strange looks once in a while from the folks around my small town because of their "glacier glasses" look that makes them look like goggles, but I could care less! They work for me. They do look a little big at first (and I have a pretty medium sized head!) but they fit very well and I found that the adjustable ear molds and the attached strap will take care of pretty much any slippage during any activity you can come up for them. These are a must have if you need good, all around eye protection.

Great fit for med/small heads, nice and dark, fogs easily with the guards on

These glasses are great for snow! I have the white spectron version and they seem pretty scratch resistant, very dark and quite comfortable. I have a pretty small head and usually glasses are too big for me. With a slight adjustment to the bendable arm tips, these fit me perfectly! The strap that comes with the glasses works perfectly and so do the removable guards. One complaint is that the glasses seem to fog pretty easily when the guards are on. Also, the included case is way to big to bring on a trip to the mountain.Overall these are a great pair of glacier glasses!

I reccomend it

When I was choosing a sunglasses at the end I look on Julbo Explorer but with two different glasses. Mineral - Alti Arc 4 Plus and Polycarbonate Spectron 4. Main differences is that first is scratch - resistant, second impact -resistant. To my mind mineral glasses more convenient but they can be only in black frames. So I choose design instead of scratch -resistance becouse I would like white frame. Total this is a great sunglasses which do its work. I bought them for climbing on Elbrus summit.

Goofy, But Awesome.

People will make jokes about these cause they are different from their standard issue Coastas, aviators or their Mickey Mouse Ray-Bans, but they will always ask where you got them and wish they had the confidence to branch out. These shades block sun like an eclipse! They seem a little bug eyed (more like goggles) and would suit snowboarders and skiers very nicely. However, here in the Southeast, they seem a little out place, but I love them nonetheless.

Lightweight, Comfy and Great Coverage

I wore these for the first time yesterday on a 18 plus day hike. I was amazed at how such a full coverage pair of glasses could feel so lightweight. They were comfortable from the start. I tightened up the strap a bit for a fairly snug fit against my face so when I ran down the trail they didn't flop around any. Looking forward to seeing hwo they do on snow.

Great all around! They look huge, but when I got them they were relatively the same size as protective glasses you get at the hardware store. They did not come with a lanyard so I highly recommend you get yourself some. They are also pretty wide so they tend to slide down the bridge of your nose once you start to sweat. The lanyard helps remedy this. Otherwise these glasses are awesome.

Very happy with the quality.

Only downside I experienced was the fact that the Julbo Spectron 4 was not as dark as described. In the brochure, it is recomended that the glasses are not worn while driving due to the tinting. however, I still found them dissapointingly light while facing into the sunrise, sunset, or on snow during sunny days. Otherwise, I am extremely satisfied with the styling, construction, & weight of these glasses.

Nice shades

These are the ideal glasses for glacier travel and mountaineering. They provide full coverage from the sun/wind and are comfortable to wear with the flexible earpieces and adjustable cord. They are also way more stylish than the old-school glacier glasses. I don't know if I'd go with the changing tint lense though, just stick with the darkest tint you can get.

Best glacier glasses for the money!

Awesome glasses for glacier travel or super bright environments. I love the built in leash and durable case. The glasses themselves never fog up and adjust comfortably to your face. I like the classic look of the "old school" glacier glasses, but this design looks great and feels a lot better on the face. Highly recommend!

Perfection!

I have been blessed with sunny weather for the majority of my winter excursions and my Julbos have shined (or reduced shine - glare) during each trip. I did experience some minor fogging in the beginning but this was quickly remedied using an anti-fog solution. Totally positive experience!!!

Negative Reviews:

too big

IF you have a big head these may fit. They were very uncomforable.

Neutral Reviews:

Hope you have a small head

This things are nice and keep you from getting blind on an ice slope, but they make your ears look like dumbo ears. The arms of the glasses are very short and if you have even a medium sized head, the chances are great that the back of your ears will get sore.
