K2 Missbehaved Skis -

K2 MissBehaved Ski - Women's:  A ski that strikes the perfect balance between a charging powder ski and an all mountain destroyer thanks to its versatile waist width and All-Terrain Rocker. Whether you like to find first-chair freshies, crank through crud, or even arvest spring sidecountry corn, the MissBehaved will behave itself properly in any terrain on the mountain.
Sizes: 149, 159, 169.
Binding Options: No Binding.

Radius:
Construction: TwinTech Sidewall - Triaxial Braided Bioflex 3.
Features:
ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility.
CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound.
All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.
Bi-Directional Taper.
The tip is still wider but closer in width to the tail. This allows the ski to perform exceptionally well while skiing in the forward direction but the taper enables the skier to have similar switch arc for better and more consistent switch riding.
Powder-Specific Tip Design.
The widest point of a powder tip is 7cm back from the standard contact point. The design adds stability and predictability while skiing and is less likely to hook or grab in light crusts or variable conditions.
Tip and Tail Holes.
Holes in the tip and tail are not only the attachments points for K2 skins, but they also fit the functional needs of a backcountry skier including the ability to build a rescue sled or construct various ski anchors. The holes are equipped with removable plugs.
Bioflex Cores.
All K2 women’s skis use a combination of fir and spruce in a unique core known as BioFlex, a process where a dense fir core underfoot is fused with lightweight spruce at the tip and tail to reduce swing-weight. For 2012, we have developed three variations of the Bioflex core specifically tuned to a target performance:Bioflex 1 – 60% fir and 40% Spruce – Swing weight reduction with added forgivenessBioflex 2 – 70% fir and 30% Spruce – Reduced swing weight with added performanceBioflex 3 – 80% fir and 20% Spruce – Increased performance, strength, and durability.
All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.
All-Terrain Profile.
30% Rocker / 70% Camber

Fit:

  • Accomadates K2 Trim To Fit Skins

Fabric:

  • TwinTech construction rolls the top material into the sidewall, which reduces the angle that's prone to abuse and increases the ski's overall durability and longevity

Lining and Layers:

  • All-terrain rockered profile (an elevated tip and tail) allows you to slash pow turns, bust through crud, and shred big lines, while its regular camber underfoot gives solid edgehold in firmer conditions

Features:

  • Bi-Directional Taper (tip is wider, but closer in width to the tail) allows for more consistent switch riding on the mountain and in the terrain park
  • We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
  • 3.5-Millimeter edges are more resistant to cracking for a more durable, longer-lasting ski
  • 102mm underfoot allows you to harvest spring sidecountry corn, master your tricks in the terrain park, and get first-chair freshies
  • Powder Tip
  • 70% All Mountain/30% Park
  • TwinTech Sidewall-Triaxial Braided BioFlex 3
  • Trixial braided bioflex 3 wood core (combination of aspen and paulownia wood and bamboo stringers) makes this ski solid, stable, lightweight, and agile, and it adds to this ski's low swing weight

K2 MissBEHAVED Ski: When the wide, 102mm waist of the K2 MissBehaved is combined with it All-Terrain Rocker, it becomes an unstoppable force that can float in the powder and lay trenches on the hardpack on-piste. The MissBehaved skis are stable at high speeds and precise down tight lines, giving the ladies the perfect tool to pin chunked up lines, and turn an untouched bowl into a piece of art. Pre-cut climbing skins are available, making this ski perfect for the lady who wants to romp in bounds and out.

SummitOnline.com (2013)

The K2 Missbehaved is not sure whether she wants to be a big mountain or all mountain ski... The good news is she works equally well for both. At 102 mm underfoot she has the girth to float, smear and pivot in all that is deep and fresh, but she is not ultra wide that she is a dog on the groomers. The All Terrain Rocker profile has rocker in the tip to keep you floating, camber underfoot to keep you stable and slight rocker in the tail so you can smear turns when it is fluffy. The Missbehaved has a Powder Tip drags the widest part of the ski further back, so the ski can keep floating, and makes it seem less grabby when the snow is not the best. Tip and Tail Hardware add to the durability of this naughty girl, but also make it really easy for you to attach K2s Trim to Fit Climbing Skins, for a lap or two in the backcountry. If you are looking for ski that loves being in the ungroomed terrain, regardless of snow conditions, get nasty on the K2 Missbehaved.

Backcountry.com
All-around mountain ripper.

You know you're in trouble when you opt for a stellar morning of skiing with the K2 Women's MissBehaved Skis rather than a morning of picking up your partner from the airport. This hard-charging twintip's all-terrain rockered profile and traditional camber underfoot mix it up both on and off the trail, and the combination of that and the more-than-stellar ski conditions are just ... unavoidable. Hopefully the love-of-your-life will understand.

No doubt better judgment will cease to exist upon riding the K2 Missbehaved ski. Bi-directional taper design enables the skier to perform more seamless switch maneuvers, while powder-specific tip design increases stability and confidence through variable conditions. The All Terrain Rocker design elevates tip and tail to increase the ski's camber. This design provides for greater performance and sustained power through turns by distributing the riders weight along the edges of the ski. In addition, tip and tail holes not only serve as skin attachments, but also may be used to construct rescue sleds, or ski anchors.
