Backcountry.com Outlet

Built by K2's Factory Team as the ultimate freeride pole, the V12 Ski Pole's low weight and high strength make it ideal for any terrain, and any condition. Ten strands of carbon fiber wrap around this performance ski pole's composite shaft. This combines the light weight strength of carbon fiber with the durability of an aluminum pole. A thermoplastic grip gives you a secure hold when you're hauling down steep, white-knuckle terrain, and chrome accents will let everyone know what's up when you roll into the park.

Positive Reviews:

Poles are Poles?

Rating:*****

I am a big fan of these since they are a bit flexy, Nothing you will notice while pole planting, more for a crashing situation. I have had lighter stiffer carbon poles, but found on a fall or getting the pole jammed in between logs or rocks the lighter stiffer poles shatter. Having a flex gives this pole durability and longevity. Part of the freeride line these poles fit the mold with chrome handles with a rubber grip inlay, pyramid studs on leather part of the nylon straps for a bit of style. Easy to change baskets from hard snow to powder as your season changes. Poles are poles, but you get what you pay for.

K2 V12 Ski Poles

Rating:*****
Good poles so far, paint on the grips wears off easily but that is not that big of an issue as your glove cover it anyway. They seem strong and flexible enough to take a beating. Overall I am pleased with these poles.

Neutral Reviews:

Decent poles - still working on baskets

Rating:***
Poles seem good - a little heavier/thicker than I was expecting, but hopefully that means they'll hold up well. Only issue is that although they specified two sets of baskets - one for hard, one for soft snow - they only came w/ hard snow ones. Big issue for me as I backcountry much more than resort ski. Two 'chat' sessions and 5 weeks after receiving the gear I'm still waiting for this store to send me my missing baskets - hopefully they'll show soon
