New this year, it has thinner edges which dropped the weight by ? lb.. Think of the Work Stinx as a ôQuiver of Oneö for a powder skier who likes to spend some time at the resort. The Work Stinx has a wider shovel and a progressive side-cut, which results in a tighter radius in the tip and under the foot, and less radius in the tail. This helps with turn initiation and performance on the hard pack and an easier tail release in crud. In addition, the XCP tip profile extends the contact point 7 cm. further toward the tip, which makes the ski initiate turns faster, provides greater stability, while being more forgiving. A light wood core, and a Triaxial braided Torsion Cap, sandwiched between 2 layers of Titanal metal makes the ski laterally more rigid with a stouter flex. It definitely is now an all-around ski with a soft snow emphasis, while still giving good hard snow carving performance. Mod Tech strips dampen the tip and tail. The Work Stinx comes with two sets of inserts, at chord center and 2 cm. forward of chord so that you can customize your mount. They will match G3, O2/O3, Voile, Rottefella and the 7™ (w/adapter) bindings. SIDECUT 15.0 PROGRESSIVE
An incredibly versatile soft snow ski, the K2 Work Stinx is dreamy through crud and powder while a deep sidecut with two sheets of metal allow it to track over hard pack like it's on rails. Specifications based on size 174.
