The Spire BC is a good ski for someone who wants to spend time away from the crowds. It is a pound lighter and 14% softer flexing than its brethren the "Spire". It has a 3-dimensionalmilled light wood core reinforced with a pre-tensioned layer of Carbon which reduces excess weight and concentrates power where it is needed. This is not a "gunners" ski, but it is for anyone who wants a ski that works well in most all conditions, and who wants to keep the weight down for those longer backcountry tours. Beginner and intermediate skiers love this easy to initiate lively ski.
