Next weekend wear the Keen Men's Blackcomb Winter Boot, when you escape the city and head to the woods for some camping. You won't mind that the temps are getting chilly with the Blackcomb's Primoloft insulation. In fact it's the perfect temp to build a fire, and with the Blackcomb's rubber toe guard, your toes won't get smashed when you head into the brush for some wood. When the fire is ready cuddle with your loved one; the nylon lining will pull sweat away if they get warm to keep your feet dry. The next morning when you wake up, slip on these boots and head out on the dewy grass with steady footing, as the Blackcomb's soles offer optimal traction on wet and dry surfaces.

This boot is really built for the elements! I usually wear women's size 11 shoes, but find that Keen's women's 11s are a bit too short for me, so I've purchased them in their men's equivalents and have been a very happy camper wearing them. In fact, they have replaced my Danskos as my most comfortable shoes. Actually, this is my first Keen shoe/boot as I've only had their sandals up to now. This boot is not even available in women's sizes. Before purchasing them, I showed the picture of them to my mother who didn't care for the look of them as a women's shoe. I ordered them anyway and am very pleased I did. They are very chunky-looking, but with my size 11 feet, I find that chunky-looking shoes make my feet look shorter than they do with more sleek-looking, lady-like shoes. I ordered these in men's size 10 late Sunday night and received them on Tuesday when I returned from some time in California to New York City. I had some problems with getting the delivery in CA and Zappos’ customer service really came through with me by having the shoes returned to them by UPS and placing a new order for delivery to NYC. They came just in time for a winter snow/ice/rain storm. These boots well prepared me for the cold, icy and wet conditions I braved today. I stepped in puddles and walked on icy slush and was dry, warm, and upright on the streets of New York throughout the day. In fact, I've been home now for several hours and STILL have them on! They have a very roomy toe box and (especially in black) they don't look like snow boots, so they can be worn whenever it's cold out without looking silly. It you are looking for comfort in a warm AND waterproof boot and don't mind a chunky-cool look, you'll be very pleased with these. I'm not much of a review-writer and have never posted one on Zappos, but I felt that I just had to rave about Zappos and my new Keens!

Keen Blackcomb

This is my first pair of Keen boots, the construction is first notch. The fit is very good as it is true to size and so far appears to give very good overall support. They could be a little wider at the toes for me to allow more movement when standing still to keep the toes warmer longer, miner concern though. My only problem has been the right boot when tightly laced the top inside eyelet is not covered by the tongue properly and it bites into the top of my ankle and is uncomfortable. I covered it with a small adhesive pad and it seems to have solved the problem. Still waring the boots and happy with their warmth and traction on slick surfaces plus the soles do not seem to collect dirt or mud easily.

Winter postal walker - While I haven't had an opportunity to try this boot in severe winter weather yet, I like what I feel so far. The thick, lightweight sole cushions my feet well while walking my 8 mile mail route. My feet also stay dry and warm walking through tall, wet grass during the cold mornings. And yet they stay comfortable when the afternoon sun heats up. Walking route mail carriers will appreciate the easy clean, wide sole pattern which doesn't seem to collect a lot of unwanted dog debris. The true test will come soon with wetter, colder weather. But for now, I'm pretty happy with my purchase...as I am with any Keen I buy.

A Slick pair of boots - I tried 3 different pair of boots before I settled on these. Thanks to Zappos quick shipping, it made it easy to do. These boots are VERY warm. Here in Chicago, they have been tested as we have been having a nasty cold, snowy winter. These boots are comfortable enough to wear all day. I have shelved the dress shoes and just wear these...its Chicago, who cares. When the weather warms though they may be too warm. So be aware. They look great, and I got a 1/2 size larger and they fit great as well. I'm VERY happy. If you are wavering, don't...just get'em.

This boot is awesome!!! I love Keens to begin with, so when I needed a boot for winter weather I ordered the Blackcomb. The day after they arrived I left the states for Eastern Europe for a two week vacation, I wore them the entire trip. I walked miles, up hill, down hill in cold damp, snowy weather non-stop and never once had cold feet or sore feet. If you need a warm, comfortable, supportive boot this winter do not think twice about adding this boot to your collection.

Great - I work in law enforcement so I'm on my feet a lot and I have to be able to run and stop on a moment's notice. These shoes are awesome for all the above. Very sturdy shoes and good for walking on all surfaces. I am so grateful that they made this in all black so I can wear it to work. It walks very silently too. No squeaking. Great heal support. Thank you Keens.

Keen quality as expected

These boots were an impulse buy as I was tired of my cold feet. I ordered the same size I wear in other Keen models and found these to be a little tighter. In a store, I would have tried a half size bigger but I think that might have been too big. They have great traction and are very warm. Very satisfied but they are Keen, I knew I would be.

Great boot, but - This Keen Blackcomb is an awesome looking, comfortable, durable boot. My only complaint is that it is not suited for anything but very cold weather conditions. It's just too well insulated to wear inside at all. I wore them to my office one day and by night time my socks and feet were soaked in sweat. Way to much insulation for anything but bitter cold.

AWESOME BOOTS - These boots are comfortable even after a 10 hour workday on my feet. The temperature outside is dropping and my feet are perfectly warm and dry. The shock absorbing sole on these shoes has helped minimize my heel pain which I normally feel as the weather gets colder.Great for hiking the trails.Buy these boots and your feet will no longer be a concern.

super comfy

I got this boot for my brother to walk around grimy Manhattan during rains (and still look fashionable) and he loves them. He loves them so much he wears them even when the weather is great. He says they're light and comfy and also make him a bit taller which means this is one pair of boots worth the money.
