| This bag is really nice. I like the way the bag fits on my back; the way the straps are feels really nice. It can't fit that much in it, but if you place certain things in it the right way, you can pack it pretty well without it looking like it is over packed. I like the material they used inside for the laptop, and the zippered compartment on top is great for things that I need to get to quickly and often. The zipper in front is great too, for pens and things like that. It also has some organizers inside, and they have soft material that make them up, too. There is only one thing I don't really care for on the bag, and that is the chest strap. I like chest straps on my bags, but it is made out of recycled aluminum, and so it feels a little cheap, which isn't too bad, but I don't like how it has to go in order to stay closed. It fits together in a strange way and it bothers me on my chest and hurts. (I'm a female, so there are other things there, but maybe a guy might not find a problem with how it feels.) Overall I am happy with this bag. The material it is made out of what seems like a tough material, so I'm sure it will last me many years, since I am really rough on my bags! Zappos like usual was great! | |

lightweight and very simple design

| i just received my new keen burnside daypack so it's hard for me to say how it will last...which is really important to me. i switched to keen from lowepro because i found the lowepro laptop pack too heavy when traveling internationally. the burnside is much lighter but i am seeing a few things that really bother me about it. 1) is the very aggravating and flimsy aluminum chest strap hook 2)no external side zip compartment for cell/water/or ipod. inside is basically just one big open area...so my small handbag does fit in there. i think this will be a good bag to just take with you in the city if you want your laptop and room for a small bag or camera...but there is not enough shoulder support to make walking a long distance comfortable. maybe it will grow on my and i'll get used to the simplicity of it. i'm giving it an above avg. rating because i really like the side laptop pocket and because of the lightness. | |

| I just received my backpack and wanted to clarify a few things I had made assumptions about from the pictures, descriptions and similarities with other bags. 1. The zipper on top is for a small pouch separate form the main compartment. 2. The main compartment is only accessible from the side of the bag (which is awesome for me because I always try to access normal top-loading bags from the side while slung on my shoulder). 3. The laptop sleeve is not removable. 4. There is a chest-strap that is fully adjustable and removable. 5. The mesh on the straps does not appear wide enough to fit a cell phone in (like other Keen bags). 6. There is a handle on the side to pick it up like a briefcase. | |

| Good Bag - I like this bag. I just couldn't stuff as much as I wanted in it. (I recently used it on a trip to Japan. Brought it as my carry on luggage. I had a pillow, a couple of books, my passport wallet, my phone, toiletries, sunglasses, and a plastic folder similar to the size of a laptop...etc.) It seemed too packed that it became uncomfortable. Still held everything though. Once I reduced what I put inside it was great. Good quality, enough pockets for the quick essentials (although I still keep things in little bags for easy access), and nice styling. I also love the fact that it's made out of recycled material. | |

| Hi! I chose this product for 2 reasons: the padded laptop sleeve and the sleek design. The padding could stand to be just a bit thicker, but I wouldn't go throwing it around with a laptop in there any way. And at 5' tall, I wanted a backpack that didn't look bigger than I am. Great success! It holds a good amount of papers and even an extra long sleeve tee, socks, shorts and tee. If you're looking for something to hold a lot of gear though, this wouldn't be the best choice. A bonus: it's Earth-conscious made at least partially of recycled materials. | |

| Wonderful alternative - I've had my share of backpacks but this one takes the cake. I bring my laptop and supplies with me everywhere, and this backpack makes everything seem lighter. It's extremely comfortable, the colors are really stylish (I have the white one) and the briefcase handle is extremely convenient. Opening it from the side takes some getting used to. Don't get this if you're planning on carrying a laptop plus a million books and notebooks. | |

| The chest strap is horrible, I took it off immediately, I'll get some use out of them as compression straps on a stuff sack or something though, they have nice metal clips. I like the side zip computer sleeve, it offers easy access and lots of padding. This is a great laptop bag for college or high school. | |

Great crossover laptop backpack

| I've looked at a lot of backpacks trying to find a good laptop backpack, and this is by far the best I've found. Minimalist, well-made, nicely padded. Only complaints are I would like one more outside pocket, and I think the base of the bag is a little too wide. | |

| This backpack is slim so there's not a ton of extra space. It has pen holders and stuff on the inside which I didn't expect. The outer pockets are small. I wish there was a secret stash pocket. But overall it's stylish, well-made, and uses recycled materials. Keen is a great brand. | |

Unique design, well-made and functional

| Side-entry main compartment is unusual and fun. Backpack also has two carrying handles at top and side. Laptop sleeve actually accommodates my 17" mac powerbook. Two smaller separate pockets, and some organizational details in main compartment. Stretch webbing on shoulder straps for securing small electronic gadgets. | |

Bad build quality | |

| Nice bag (well designed, nicely arranged compartments, comfortable) - but after two weeks worth of heavy use (15.4" 3kg laptop + accessories), the side handle tore out of the seam, and some of the shoulder strap and front seams came undone. Chest strap is flimsy and useless. On the plus side, Keen honored its warranty by replacing the bag with a new one - but I'm now afraid to use it with as much contents/weight, which defeats the purpose a little. Might upgrade to a lighter laptop! :) | |

I really want to like it but...

| Love the design, interior organization is top notch. Fits my wider laptop with room to spare. Comfortable straps. The side handle tore itself out of the seam during the first two weeks of average use though, so this is going to be my first ever return. | |

good design, poor build quality

| nice design, comfortable even with 15.4" 3kg laptop inside, cool looks - but poor build quality (stitching). came apart on front patch of right shoulder strap where the Keen logo is, and along the main zip. Otherwise, a decent bag. | |
