| I purchased these shoes after searching for what I believed would be a comfortable shoe for walking, and one that would go with skirts or pants. The moment I tried them on I knew they were comfortable but the real test was a full day of serious walking on a trip to New York City, where I was literally on my feet all day. I hadn't had them long enough to break them in but that wasn't even necessary. I liked them so much that I bought a pair in another color and since I was traveling with 3 of my sisters and we all wear the same size, we were all fighting over who could wear these shoes for our very active days. So we shared and someone always had a pair of these Keen Carmel on. Nobody wanted to take a chance on tired feet or blisters. I'm happy to say that the shoes were great for all of us. I had brought along a few other pairs of shoes but the others got very little wear after we tried these out. |

| This shoe (I have purchased it in black and in red) is the perfect shoe for a woman like me who likes feminine shoes and comfort combined. I will wear it with socks and pants into winter; also looks good with stockings and a skirt. What I like even more than the shoe is Zappos. What I especially like is the footbed of the shoe with its arch design. I can wear it all day and my feet don't get tired. The computer interface is smooth and flawless and the delivery always arrives on time, or sooner. I go to a store to try shoes on and then, go to Zappos to buy them in my size and color. Zappos graphics are great too; I can see all the details, get all the info I need to make a smart purchase. Thanks to Keen and Zappos for helping me walk in style and comfort. |

| I saw a woman wearing these shoes in a parking lot and asked her about them. She told me the brand and that she bought them on Zappos. I went online and bought them as soon as I got home. The shoes were exactly what I had been looking for and I was hoping that the fit would live up to my expectations...\r\n\r\nThese shoes are fantastic. I\'m a teacher, so I\'m on my feet all day and I need a shoe that is both comfortable and attractive - these are exactly such a shoe. They performed right out of the box, the sole is supportive and weather resistant, and the uppers are pretty and feminine. \r\n\r\nI\'ve been wearing these all summer at work, and I\'m just about to buy a second pair in a different color so that I can wear them with my more traditionally colored "school year" clothes. |

| I am an elementary school teacher. I am on my feet all day long. I wanted something that I could wear to work or to stroll around in when I'm out and about. I saw someone wearing these at my school. She has MS. She said it was really hard to find comfortable shoes to wear especially with buckles. I thought they looked really cute on her feet. She said she loved them so I decided to buy a pair. Altrec definitely has a better deal than other stores. The sandals are true to size. I don't think they need to be purchased a half size larger. Thanks to everyone else for writing the reviews and helping me to make my decision. I purchased the brown pair and now I am considering ordering the black. |

| I knit hand-dyed socks and am always on the lookout for a shoe which shows off my handwork. Someone wrote about this Mary Jane style Keen shoe and mentioned how comfortable it was. Because hand knit socks wear longer without a full heel, the strap across the back looked right for me, and Zappos free shipping made it easy to try it on. Recently, I've started wearing orthotics, and while they don’t fit into this shoe, the shoe itself is extremely comfortable with lots of support. So, it works all the way around for me. Thanks to Zappos for the quick delivery and also for upgrading the delivery service. Shoe lovers just have to have their shoes fast. Free delivery is one of the reasons I come back to Zappos again and again. |

| I bought these shoes for my wife because she saw them at REI and loved them. I told her she should wait so we could buy them from Altrec. She reluctantly agreed. I am always overly pleased with Altrec's customer service and friendly nature. As with many other items we ended up with a better deal than if we would've bought them elsewhere. Thanks!!! The shoes are great. They look great on her and she received many compliments the first few times she has worn them. She says they are as comfortable as her other Keens and "quite a bit cuter." Unlike her other Keens, which she had to size up a half size, these shoes fit true to size (8). Keen Carmel, another great shoe from a great shoe company. |

| Finally, a sandal type shoe that I am able to wear all day without pain. Over the past few years I have had several major foot issues, making it just about impossible to be comfortable in any shoe. Keen's Carmel has solved my problem. I am on my feet 8 to 10 hours a day 6 days a week, and my Keens are comfortable the entire time. They run a little large, so I bought a half size smaller, and they are a little wider than normal, which is great for anyone with upper foot and toe issues. I'm so glad I tried them. Thank you Keens and Zappos for getting them to me so quickly. Wish I had ordered these at the beginning of summer. |

| Great closed toe dressy shoe! Surgery made closed toe shoe a must. Zappos sales people recommended brands that were new to me. I bought Keen's closed toe sandals and now Keen's Carmel (carob-neat brown). This shoe can be worn anywhere and with any outfit. I ordered a 6 1/2 and it was too large. Not-to-worry; I had the replacement shoes (6) the next afternoon. The brown color goes with many of my outfits - from crops to skirts, this is a great shoe. The little etching of the flowers is repeated right below the buckle, really cute. Because I teach high school, I am on my feet all day. Keen gives me comfort at a very reasonable price. I am a proud Zappos VIP customer. |

| I was looking for a shoe/sandal combo. This was perfect! I read other reviews as I always do and this was true to form! This shoe is soo comfortable yet supportive. I just love the way it looks and feels. Definitely take the advice of all the prior reviews about getting a size smaller. I ordered a 5.5 and had to exchange it for a size 5! Definitely larger than you would want. Also, got a lot of compliments on it. If you want a combo shoe/sandal this is the one for you. I like the covered toe part sometimes but still the openness of a sandal. Go for it! The color is a really nice deep red without being orangey at all. |

| A very comfortable shoe--even took a 20 minute little hike in them. I ordered up 1/2 size as suggested, but seems to be too long--will try my normal size. (The same for my mom who tried them on and wears the same size as I do.) I look forward to trying a better size and to trying out other Keens--this is my 1st pair. I love all of the things I have read/heard a/b them. I have 3 small children & a creek by the house. I love that I'll be able to step into the creek at a moment's notice to "rescue" one of them! They do make my feet sweat though. Altrec was great with the shipping--I got them right away! |
