Jenson USA

The Keen Commuter sandal, designed specifically for the female foot. Does the guy at the grocery store frown when you stumble in wearing your cleats? With these, he'll never know. The tough toebox area stands up to the knocks of cycling, while the open design allows water, rocks, etc. to easily drain away from your feet.

Features:

  • Note: cleats come with your pedals, not with the shoes/sandals
  • Perfect for running errands around town, commuting to work or school, camping, and more!
  • Works with any SPD compatible pedals (Shimano SPD, Crank Bros Eggbeater, Time ATAC, etc)

Lady cyclists - buy this shoe! I am a roadie with two road bikes and I generally do 30-40 mile rides regularly. I have been extremely annoyed having to force my well-muscled, long-toed, high-arched, athletic lady foot into the standard road shoe. Hot numb feet by mile 20 was the norm for me. These Keen shoes let my feet splay out and you can’t beat the ventilation! The sole is not nearly as stiff as a standard cycling shoe, but is stiff enough to have a solid base to push against while pedaling. I installed my SPD cleats in a jiffy and my high-arch inserts popped right in without any trimming. OK, so they don’t look like something a hardcore road racer would wear, but who cares?

Great Bike Shoe - I needed a bike shoe for a trip we are taking this summer across Missouri on the Katy Trail. I wanted something that would be cool, but appropriate for cycling. I found this Keen and I am really happy. I am wearing the shoe now as I train and it is really comfortable. I live in Seattle and despite being a sandal, it keeps my feet dry and comfortable. The shoe is also nice to wear when we get off the bike and walking around. It does not look or sound like a traditional bike shoe.

Great shoes - nothing else like them on the market. We use them on long bike tours, and it is so nice not to have to worry about sweaty socks and feet! They do run a bit narrow - and have only one width. I also found the stitching attaching the back heel strap came unstitched after two weeks of daily wear (on a bike tour). No problem returning them to Zappos, whom I hope sent back to Keen - but still unnerving!

These biking sandals are the best. Not only are they comfortable, but they look great and keep you feet cool while cycling. You'll forget you have them on and find yourself walking around in them. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the sport as much as I do. I biked 240 miles last week in them and they felt great.

Great bike shoe - I bought this shoe for riding my recumbent bike during the hot season here in AZ. It fits great; the straps are elastic and help with on and off. The toe protects beautifully, something I was concerned about. I also use it in my spinning class and love it there too. Clips can also be added.

Best bike shoe ever - While this style seems a bit narrower than my other Keens, it fits very well and is a wonderful bike shoe. I personally do triathlons in this and it provides a fast transition and I am able to run in this shoe (as opposed to the carbon fiber soled cycling shoes). Great option!

Fantastic! Fit is great and comfort is extraordinary for a bike sandal. Wow, what a great idea. Way better than the Shimano sandal and far superior quality. I highly recommend this for any bike lover.

Cycling shoes - I didn't know Keen had cycling shoes, and stumbled upon these by accident. They're perfect. They fit well and keep my feet cool and secure during my rides. Very comfortable.

Keen Commuter Shoe - I love this cycle sandal. I use it to teach indoor cycle classes and recently rode with them on a pretty tough mountain bike ride.

I just love these shoes. I purchased them for outdoor riding, but I also found they work great for indoor spinning classes. Keep your feet cool and comfortable.

I love these shoes. The sandal works great for summer use: looks good, airy, comfortable, no sock tan line, and definitely takes care of the "my shoe is wet for days" issue found with regular cycling shoes. I did notice the width seemed a little smaller than what I consider to be a standard Keen shoe width (no problem for me). And the cinching shoe ties loosen periodically (not a major issue, just annoying). But the real problem I discovered is what seems to be a defect after prolonged daily wear, such as a 2-week cycling tour. The left heel strap stitching came apart on one side, pulling the strap away from its place of attachment on the rest of the sandal. Per info at Keen's website, Keen warrants shoes due to defect, requiring the shoe vendor to initiate the return process. Wonderful Zappos (for so many reasons) is sending a replacement, which, I hope, does not fail again. Thank you, Zappos.

If you are expecting these to be a Keen sandal fit with clipless cleats, you need to look somewhere else. I\'ve been wearing them for over a year and they simply are not the Keen fit I love. I have 9 pairs of Keen\'s because they fit my short, fat foot, not true of the Commuter. I just wore them on a 135 miles ride across Alaska and by the end of the trip I am ready to throw them out. Way too narrow. Any trip under 50 miles they are passable.
