I took off the most comfortable retro style shoes/sneakers in the world (Merrell Sprint Blast 1942's) to put these on. I immediately went on a dog walk and found myself climbing a steep woodsy slope behind my house. Caveat: I've been suffering from some heel and pad pain the last couple of months, probably the result of retiring recently and too often running/jumping about in flip flops, Crocs and clogs. The Granadas immediately felt less cushiony and more roomy, but comfortable. The Merrells are a bit like being wrapped in warm memory foam and can feel a bit too confining. The somewhat bulbous front of the Keens allow the toes more freedom while looking more clod (hoppy). I haven't decided to keep these yet though I feel somewhat guilty about so far ordering 2 pairs of clogs (Simple Cruisers and Merrell) and a pair of super-Birki clogs. I kept only the Cruisers. I'm leaning towards keeping these clod hoppers. And if they ever get the Cruiser in 'java' color, I'll definitely order (and keep) those. "Let the content be provided by the users...."

I wore my last pair of Keen Briggs daily for 5 years (which included trekking across campus for 4 of those years). I absolutely loved those shoes, but they just died on me. So I decided to change it up a little, and went with the Granada Lace. They took a little while to break in. (Coming off a 5 year relationship with my last pair will do that I suppose.) Compared to the Briggs, I found them not as comfortable as a daily walking shoe. The sole is thinner and not quite as cushiony as the Briggs. (I have flat feet, so I appreciate a cushy sole.) Overall they are growing on me and feel more comfortable every time I put them on. (I've had them about a month now.) Great looking shoe that I know will hold up for another 5 years.

In deference to the 2 reviews that mention how 'hot' they look, let me clarify my opinion of their looks/style. I thought these were pretty cool looking as well (from the photos). They look like a hot Italian sports car from the side, albeit with a somewhat upturned bulbous nose. From the view you get whilst sporting them, they look way wide. This from a 65 year old who can still see past his nose/belly.

Great looking shoe, very comfortable, true to size fit. Ready to wear right out of the box. Works well with jeans or chinos. Will wear to work and for casual. High quality as all Keens are. Zappos service was and always is "spot on". I have ordered all my shoes from them over the last two years. You can't go wrong.

Very sharp looking shoe. Comfortable but I had some trouble finding a size that fit. Finally settled for 1/2 size smaller than normal because shoe felt slippery in the heel. Not as comfortable as my numerous other Keens but look great going out in the city.

I absolutely love these shoes and now wear them every day. Had to buy Dr. Scholl's inserts for comfort and my planter fasciitis. Buy the inserts and the shoes will fit snug as a bug and you'll be walking on the moon. Two thumbs up!

me likey - I needed a pair of shoes that would work for bicycling. I have pedal straps and these slip in just fine. Stiff enough for cycling, flexy enough to walk in. Off the bike, they look hot.
