Great shoes - I really like them! They have a squishy comfortable footbed and they do not have a heel like my hiking boots do. They are flat and this puts less pressure on the ball of my foot. My hiking boots usually leave the balls of my feet tired and sore. I can walk long distances in these sandals without getting sore or tired. This is a good thing since I am a naturalist at a camp in Washington and I lead 4 or 5 hikes per day! I have worn them so far in water, mud, grass, uphill, downhill, gravel, dirt and all over camp and town. They have been incredibly comfy and really had no breaking in time. The traction is pretty good. The only problem is I get gravel stuck in them sometimes and I have to take them off to get it out. This can be a problem if I am trying to lead people somewhere. And they are purple which is one of my favorite colors! I look forward to wearing it in Arkansas and Africa. I think the shoe will do well there.

My 2 daughters ages 6 and 8 have now had several pair of these Keens and they love them. In each size they've been the perfect summer shoe. They're just GREAT for all summer wearing and they last and last, can be cleaned up with a hose and water, go through streams, mud, hiking, ocean...virtually anywhere. They also fit wonderfully, are adjustable, and the footbed is like a cloud but with more support than regular sandals. This particular style is our favorite because the closed in heel means less dirt, gravel, sand etc can sneak into the shoe. My girls wear these in pink and they look truly sporty, but more importantly they are truly sporty. They're much cooler looking than some of the other bulky girls functional sandals. Also these hold up better than those I've paid less for. My kids wear them all day to day camp too. We like them so much that we started buying the winter boots and other shoe styles from Keen as well.

One of the best shoes ever made! This is the second time I have ordered these sandal keen's for my daughter. The first time was for a month long trip to Bali and they held up great. After that trip she wore them constantly until she finally grew out of them. We handed them down and they are still being worn to this day. Now we have her second pair to wear to Disneyland and then the rest of the spring and summer. We ordered one size up as they can run small, plus she'll be able to wear them for a long time. I was a little unsure about the look of the new velcro strap. But it really does make them easier to get into and doesn't detract from the look at all. If you are hesitant to order this shoe. Don't be- it is a great shoe.

Love Them! We bought our first pair of Keens last summer for our then 10 year old son. He really liked them. We ordered them for both of the kids this summer. My 8 year old daughter loves hers and has worn them everyday since they arrived. They are comfortable and durable. The ones from last year hardly look worn. Just be sure to order at least a size up from your kid's regular shoe size. My son is right between kids and adult sizes. The adult version of this shoe doesn't have velcro at the top. The bungee goes all the way up and makes it super difficult to put on. I wouldn't buy them without the velcro closure. We ended up with a Teva amphibious shoe for him. Hope this helps.

Sixty-three old KID! I have a very wide, short foot and have found over my 63 years that children's shoes fit me better than adult shoes. So I always seek children's styles when possible! Even with children's sizes, my first two pairs of Keen Kid's Newports were larger than indicated, so I went down a size (a half size smaller than I actually wear). They are perfect. He H2s are great as I need toe and heel protection (diabetes) but want a washable shoe to trek through Kaua'i's muddy hills. I have been wearing my H2s frequently and love them. I think they are perfect for children, too. Thanks Zappos; it is always a pleasure doing business with you. I appreciate you so much!

Happy in Humboldt - I bought the Keen Kid's Newport H2 for my daughter Emily and she loves it. She hasn't taken them off since they arrived. We live near the beach and I thought they'd be good for hiking to the ocean, but she's worn them to school daily, playing soccer at recess, and even likes to wear them to her softball games! I have yet to see how they do with small rocks at the river, but so far we're both happy. I bought a pair for myself, too.

| Great Kid Shoes! I bought these shoes for my 6 yr old daughter. She loves them... doesn't ever want to take them off. She is very much a girly girl so we got the pink color. I love the fact that her toes are protected for when she is running outside
riding bikes etc. They are easy for her to get on and off also. I did find they ran smaller. She is normally a size 1, and she got a size 2 in these. |

Best summer hybrid shoe ever made for kids - My daughter is on her second pair of Keens. The first pair lasted 2 years of full day outdoor camp. These shoes are amazing. They DO NOT have ANY foot odor. Theyre cool like a sandal, but super supportive and the protective shoe lets her play sports like she's wearing a sneaker. Couldnt ask for a better shoe!

My daughter loves them! I'm so glad I "bit the bullet" and bought these for my 11 yr old daughter! She loves them! She can wear them everywhere - even when she waded into the salty lake to go fishing. They just rinse clean. I'll buy her another pair next summer - just wish I'd have done it in May, not July!

Great shoe... even for wide feet! My daughter loves her new Keens... and they were put to the test immediately with 4 hardcore days around Disneyland. She only wore them a couple of times before we went, but they worked out great - no blisters or sores. She also is slightly wide and these were very forgiving. Highly recommend!
