Mountain Gear

Remember your feet when a day of strolling the riverwalk is in order; the San Antonio Slip-On shoe from Keen is a progressive, easy-on, easy-off, thick treaded shoe for casual walking - but with thick rubber soles and water resistant upper materials in case you encounter wetter conditions. Even if the tourist attractions distract you, you needn't worry about where you step, Keen's very own rubber Toe Guards protect your feet against bumps and abrasions.

Features:

  • Enjoy enhanced cushioning and arch support from the removable, leather-wrapped EVA footbeds
  • Keep your feet dry and allow inside moisture to escape in soft pigskin leather linings and 2-tone leather uppers
  • Reduce your impact with the responsibly designed rubber outsoles, created with direct inject technology produces less ecological impact than normal rubber outsole production
  • Slide them on and off thanks to dual stretch panels that allow easy entry and exit
  • Walk on added cushioning with injection molded polyurethane midsoles

Outdoor ruggedness meets citified style in the Keen Men's San Antonio Slip-on Shoes. These laceless leather shoes have pinholes for breathability, so your feet don't overheat as you run to catch the train. The durable polyurethane outsoles have enough tread so you won't slip on wet, slick concrete or grass, but you won't look like you have claws on your feet either. Keen put waterproofing on the San Antonio's leather so they don't split or crack when you wear them on a rainy day.

Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS)

Easy to step into, comfortable to wear, the San Antonio Slip-On from Keen is convenience expressed in a shoe.

Features:

  • Compression-molded EVA midsole for all-day comfort
  • Dual-density polyurethane rubber outsole for sure-footed traction
  • Leather upper and lining for a classic look and smooth comfort
  • Protective toe bumper adds durability
  • Rubber outsole uses direct-inject technology for a lower ecological impact
  • Stretch panels ensure a comfortable, easy fit

Another Great Keen Slip-On - Like others, I had previously owned a pair of Keen slip-ons in a slightly different style that I really liked. The previous shoes required a 1/2 size smaller to fit properly (which is slightly snug when new because they stretch out some over time). So, I ordered these in the same size but they were too small. Order these shoes at your regular size. They should fit pretty snug when new, but not "tight". If they feel even the slightest bit loose it's only going to get worse as they break in and it will start to slip. They do pinch your toes when new if you bend your toes/foot at a hard angle. That too pretty much goes away after they break in good. If you normally find you have to buy shoes in 2 different sizes depending upon how they fit, choose the larger of the 2 sizes you normally wear for these shoes. If you miss the proper sizing, Zappos return/exchange is painless and quick.

I ordered the WR769SB on a Monday night (late), delivered early Wednesday AM. Fantastic service! Perfect fit and comfort "out of the box," no break in time needed. For new comers to NB, most of we veterans order 1/2 size longer than with other brands. I have an extremely narrow foot and a 9 AA fits me perfectly! Usually I wear new shoes around the house a few days "just to be sure" of fit and comfort, but not this stock number. Perfect the moment I tried them on. Wore them 8 hours at work the next day...total comfort. Not crazy about all the "silver," but FIT is the most important thing to me. The sure sign of a perfect fit is you forget you have them on...need I say more! The laces are a bit long, so I double tie them. No problem. Thanks Zappos!!! Customer for life!

Funky but comfy - I have wide, flat feet and these have been very comfortable right out of the box. I walk around New York City and these are comfortable and easy to live with. They are a bit difficult to put on and I find I have to bunch up my socks under my toes, then slip them on, and then release the extra sock a the end of my foot. If I don't do that, the shoe gives me a sock wedgie when I put it on. Other than that, I've been wearing this with a couple of different insoles and they all work pretty well. Good shoe, and I definitely recommend it if you have wide feet.

Love 'em! These are by far the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. Quality is excellent, too. Just a couple words of warning. First, based on reviews that I had read, I ordered the shoes 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and it's a good thing because they were a little snug when I first put them on. Second, I ordered them in the Bison color and was surprised when they had a decidedly greenish tint to them. I thought that I had accidentally received the Army color, but after emailing both Zappos and Keen, I was assured that Bison is slightly green. They seem to turn more brown with time. All in all, fantastic shoes.

I have been trying to find a substitute for my 2 year old Keen slip on boots. They have been the best shoes for me. These shoes are a good substitute, but not quite what I was looking for. That being said, as a shoe I find the San Antonio Slip-On to be incredibly comfortable after I get them on. They are not the easiest of slip-ons, however they might break in as I wear them more. I have always liked the Keen line of shoes and boots for their comfort. The wide widths are the best. You would be very happy with your purchase if you got these or any other Keens.

Nice Shoes

Unfortunately I had to send a pair back. The toe cap game unglued. Backcountry promptly took care of me. I still really like my Keens. I am not at all disappointed with the Keen quality. I exchanged them for another pair without hassle. My new pair is great. They fit right out of the box. They are the only shoe I wear except for my work shoes. Highly recommend these shoes for everyday casual.

Not for narrow feet - I liked the styling a lot, but Keen shoes definitely seem targeted towards folks with wide feet. These were my first experience with Keen shoes and my feet swam in them. However, I found them to be extremely comfortable... when standing still. Returned them, but tried other Keen styles to see if any would fit narrower feet. Ended up getting the Keen Lisbons (lace-up) and am very happy.

These were the usual Keen fit where you need to order a half size larger and fit perfectly except my foot somehow was making this annoying squeaking with every step. It was only in one shoe but I couldn't take it and sent them back. I have three other pairs of Keens and adore them. I was very disappointed that I couldn't keep these. Great style and loved they were slip-ons.

Excellent Service! I order frequently via the internet and Zappos is by far the quickest delivery and best service I've ever experienced. I ordered these shoes in the evening and they were at my door when I got home from work the next day. I went with standard shipping, but was upgraded to overnight (they have done this every time I've ordered from them). It doesn't get any better than that!

Keen San Antonio’s rock - I ordered my true size 9.5 & they were too small so I bumped up to a 10. The shoe is very comfortable after a small break in period (right back heel was getting a blister). They hold up in wet weather quite well too. They are a low maintenance shoe as they can be wiped off & then are ready for the next adventure.-+

Too small - Just got these delivered today (still amazed at the fast next day service). Alas, although I'd ordered other Keens (great shoes, but I wear them constantly, and they've gotten a bit smelly- I'm ordering another pair to rotate and let them air out, which I think is the problem)... Anyway, I ordered the 13 D's, which have always fit. They arrived, but dangit, I can't get them on! Well, maybe I could force them on, but I'm not going to stretch them out trying. But apparently part of this great service is that you get a free return! So I'm calling in tomorrow to set that up. But think about ordering in the next size up- it seems like these San Antonio’s do run small. Didn't happen with my other Keens. Good looking shoe otherwise.
