Specifically designed for coastline adventures, Keen's rugged and comfortable Venice H2 Sandals feature a fast-drying (waterproof) polyester webbing upper that's lighter than the leather upper found on Keen's Men's Venice Sandal. Everything else about the design is the same. Inside the polyester webbing is a moisture-wicking Aegis Microbe-Shield SBR lining that (unless you missed the sizing) doesn't usually scrape or chafe the top of your foot after wading through a pond or along a seashore. Keen's Venice H2 Sandals are fully washable and feature Keen's patented toe bumper up front. The non-marking carbon rubber outsole is excellent for guys who want to wear the same footwear throughout the day--even if that's on polished hardwood floors back at home.
Make sure you have the KEEN Men's Venice H2 Sandals on your feet when you're heading to a place where transport by boat represents the norm. Even if you're not in Italy, there are still river-bound adventures to be had. Hop into your raft with assurance knowing that the polyester uppers on the Venice H2 Sandals dry out quickly, and that the Aegis anit-microbial treatment keeps your feet funk-free during a week-long trip. KEEN also gave these sandals a closed-toe design to keep your piggies protected from rocks, sticks, and other riverside obstacles.

Function and Protection

I live in La Crosse, Wisconsin, which is a Mississippi River town that is surrounded by bluffs and coulees. I bought this sandal to tackle the river, trails, islands, backwaters, and whatever else I could throw at 'em. My first adventure was at 6 Flags Great America and they were flawless. I walked all day in them right out of the box and my feet felt great. They do get a little warm, but all you have to do is flex your toes and get them in the breeze. I don't understand why anyone would want to wear flip-flops, especially in a theme park when you could have some protection, comfort, and somewhat clean feet. Can't wear flip-flops on roller coasters. Since the maiden voyage I have gone fishing and done some yard work as well as everyday tasks in the Keens. They were at home in the boat and never slipped in the water at the boat launch (thanks razor siping!). At home I was shoveling dirt and picking up yard debris after a storm and never felt like I was going to stab my feet. Excellent protection and functionality. Size 11 was dead on for me and that is my usual size. No problems getting them on or off. Getting sand or debris out is as easy as dipping your feet in the water or hosing them out. They are more open than the Newport. If you can't stand a little debris in a sandal after some serious usage than wear boots. I've worn Teva before, but the Keens are more comfortable and have the added protection. I definitely recommend these sandals for land and water.

| My wife loves, and I mean LOVES, her Keens. At first she loved them because she got them at a big retailer's "garage sale" (I don't know if I'm supposed to tell you the store but their initials are R-E-I) for 5 bucks. Then she started wearing them and REALLY fell in love with them. She has a pair of Arroyos and a pair of the Venice H2. She talked me into buying the Venices, I did, and I love 'em too. They're perfect for those days at the beach and when you'll be in/around water, wading, river rafting, etc. Keen's closed toe is awesome.. And they're sturdy enough and built enough to serve very well on the walk to/from the beach or whatever. We wear ours all the time on vaycay in Phuket, Thailand, and they're just right- cool, closed toes keep your feet safe from stuff out to get them, and yet you can walk right into the water with them and back out and they'll dry nearly instantly. Definitely recommended. (Only hesitation I would have is that depending on the size of your instep/ankle/foot, they might want to slide off in active watersports- if you dump off of a jetski, for example. | |

Keen quality sandals | |

| I wear arch supports for plantar fascitis and have not worn sandals since I got them 2 years ago. I tried on a pair of my brother's keen sandals and they felt great on my feet so I decided to purchase a pair of my own. I bought them right before a family vacation to the Oregon coast where I knew they would come into good use. The first couple of days had me worried because they hurt my arch and the outside of my foot after wearing them all day long. I decided to stick with them, and I am happy to say that they broke in wonderfully well. They don't bother my feet anymore no matter how long I wear them and they have become my go-to footwear. I have only had them for less than a month, but other than the initial breaking-in of the shoe, I don't think that I am going to have any problems with them. I would recommend them to anyone, even people with arch problems or other foot issues. Keen is quality. | |

| I wear a 14 and had to order a full size larger to get a good fit. I walk 5 miles to work and used to wear Tevas (because everyone said they are great; "Oooh! Tevas!"). Wound up with chronic heel pain & crippling stiff tendons on sole, the next day. I now wear these Keens to work and have zero pain, not even a blister. They are warmer than Tevas due to a lot more material and the lacing was a little confusing -- Tevas pull the foot backward by tightening the ankle strap, but tightening the elastic on these pulls your foot forward. Almost sent them back until I looked closely at how the elastic is laced, loosened it and now they are the most comfortable shoes I own and I wear them all day without any fatigue. Like others have observed, if gravel gets inside, it won't come out unless you take the shoe off. | |

Easy on/off sandal with great fit, toe protection, and ventilation. Break in time real quick, no worries about having stiff sandal for whole summer before they feel good.

Awesome sandals | |

These are without a doubt my favorite sandals. They are very comfortable and very stable (I ordered up a half-size and have room to spare). They provide excellent traction in most all circumstances (except for slippery river rocks) and do great in and out of the water. They ventilate better than my Newports, but this also means that it is a little easier to get rocks under your feet if you are walking in gravel. I haven't had any problem with them getting funky, even when wearing them day after day. Of course, the toe protection is very nice to have, both when hiking and when wading rivers. Probably the only downside is that my Chacos are now gathering dust in my closet.

hiking/lounging/hospital foot love

I have owned these for two years and LOVE them. I have worn these hiking over razor sharp Lava fields to secret dive spots here in Hawaii. White Water rafting in Colorado in these was awesome. Don't even bother with open toed sandals. These have saved me from breaking/ cutting/ smashing my toes many times. I'd go with just a half size smaller than your normal shoe size on these...(coming from someone with wide feet even :)) HOSPITAL WORKERS LISTEN!!!! Loose the crocs! These protect better/ are more comfortable/ and breath better---(just wear w/black socks)....BUY THESE IF YOU ARE A NURSE OR TECH WHO SPENDS ALL DAY ON YOUR FEET!!

| I bought these shoes as a gift for my husband. He was not at all convinced that he needed them or would like them. He absolutely loves them, and they have become his everyday summer shoe. They look good all the time, even after a day in the sand as they rinse off and dry quickly. They give him the support he needs and the comfort he desires. They break in immediately. Slip them on to walk the dog, go for a bike-ride, boating or for the beach. Today, while visiting Charleston, SC, they will make a trek to the ocean again. | |

Hybrid Sandals! | |

| Very comfortable and nice arch support. Bought these cause I heard they were a good sandal to wear after suffering from plantar fasciitis or however you spell it. Like the toe, I work w/ kids so it prevents a lot of painful step-ons compared to open toed sandals. Will wear all summer long I'm sure at the beach on the boat and camping. Wasn't sure about the sz. at first, always in between szs. so the half szs. are great. Think I had to get use to the toe being there, felt a little small at the start. | |

| Great Shoe! This shoe is a great water shoe. I bought them for my husband for tooling around on the river...I have a pair and LOVE them. We raft in Colorado and they are great for water and land hiking around. Also, both of our children have a pair and I love the toe guard for them. These shoes are great to throw on and go tooling around all day and not hurt your feet...They are so comfy! These shoes have fit all of our family true to our shoe size and are really durable. | |

Sizing Issues | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
Have a pair of 11.5 Keen shoes but heard to order a half size up so ordered the Newports as a size 12, but still too small. Went to a local store (to try on) and bought a pair of Keen Newport H2 sandals (size 12) that fit fine. Love Keen products, but having to get three different sizes depending on style should not happen.

great sandal if you wear socks

| it makes my feet sweaty if i do not wear socks because of the insole and the wet suit material it consists of. I love the toe protection that it offers, but the traditional sandals work better for my feet to stay cool in warm weather! | |
