The insulation in the Kelty Women's Light Year XP 0 Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag retains heat even if it gets damp, which means drizzly weather while you're hiking won't equal a soggy night's sleep. If you start feeling stuffy during the night, unzip the foot vent and let air in without freezing your core. A hip-length zipper on the Light Year XP cuts down on weight, while the women's-specific design eliminates unused space and cold spots. The insulated hood baffle and fitted hood warm your head, while the anti-snag design on the zipper draft tube eliminates bathroom-break zipper drama.

Reviews:

lots of warmth for weight

Rating:****

I bought this bag last week. First thing I noticed was that It is very light weight and compresses fairly well, enough to make me nervous about camping in really cold weather in it so I tried it in the backyard first. The temperature got down to 20 degrees but I managed to stay warm without any kind of liner. I actually did sweat a little bit and in the morning there was condensation on the outside of the bag. There were a few cool spots through the night but nothing that kept me up. I don't know that I would trust it without the liner at its rated temp, but that is too be expected from any bag. For the price, warmth, and weight I would recommend it.

I just got this sleeping bag for my birthday and I really like it. It's light weight and packs small enough for my backpack. I sleep really cold and so far this bag has performed exceptionally...even in damp Northern California in March. However, if you are at all claustrophobic this bag may not be for you as it lives up to the "womens" cut. If you're at all questioning the length go for the longer bag.

Love the color and the zipper across the foot which is provided for ventilation when it's too warm.
