Trailheads are more comfortable than home with the Kelty's 5-Person, 3-Season Mantra 5 Tent. Unlike lesser family tents, the Mantra uses high quality DAC aluminum poles and a mix of clip and sleeve construction, for a mix of toughness and ventilation in wind and weather for years to come. You don't buy a Mantra for the weekend, you buy one of these collapsible mansions for life. Double doors, each with noiseless zipper pulls and individual vestibules, let everyone do their nighttime business without disturbing the rest of the tent. Taped floor seams mean the Mantra can literally be sitting in a couple inches of water and nobody inside will notice. The Mantra's poles and clips are color-coded so you aren't standing at the campsite scratching your head, and thoughtful details like the interior organizer wall give a level of polish seldom seen in a car camping tent. If you're camping with a big group, or just want a lot of space, the Mantra should be the first tent you grab for.

The Mantra 5 is well known to provide extra elbowroom and security in the most adverse conditions.

Take camping to the next level with the Mantra 5. This luxury tent has a spacious interior and open dome design for star gazing or afternoon napping under the sun.
The Kelty(r) Mantra 5 tent provides extra elbow room and security in the most adverse conditions. It features double doors and includes aluminum poles with color-coded clips that make for easy set-up. The taped floor seams ensure comfortable sleep, rain or shine.

I purchased this tent to replace a 3 person I had that the zippers siezed on. We just got back from a weekend camping with this tent and I love it. Very roomy and has TONS of pockets inside. The first night it snowed/hailed and rained on us. It also got very windy, the tent withstood it all very well. We could hear the wind but could not feel it at all in the tent. The tent polse are very thick, feels very sturdy. I zipped some of the fabric on the rain fly into the zipper when we got in to go to bed..after a few minutes working at it I got it out and the zipper works fine, the fabric did not tear. On my other tent this broke the zipper apart. Very pleased with this purchase.

Roomy, cozy, and non-leaky

Awesome tent! Took it camping in the fall as soon as I got it, and it performed splendidly! It actually comfortly fit 5 people (unlike some I've been in), and stood up to a long hard rainstorm without any leakage (we didn't even give it an extra seal beforehand). The rain fly is held a good ways away from the tent, so it's not easy to knock the side and get everything wet. I also like the two entries, which came in handy with more people. It was a cozy place for 8 people to cram in and play cards while staying out of the rain! Plus it was easy to set up and take down!

Roomy family tent | |

Mantra 5 replaces our 1 year old Coleman 6 person family tent. It is easy to setup by one person and it has plenty of room to move around and store gear inside. The tent has been solid and dry during windy thunderstorms in the Rockies. Would have given 5 stars but the included aluminum tent stakes are pretty to look at but has no strength. Definitely NOT for hammering. Half of them bent on first use. The rest were all bent by the end of second camping trip. Replaced them with MSR Groundhogs.

Great Family Tent | |

I just got back from a weekend of camping in North Florida. We had a lot of strong thunderstorms with tremendous amounts of rain with absolutely no moisture inside. I love the rain fly on this one. It was a breeze to set up, and it is thoughtfully designed inside. My cot helped fill the space quickly, but if just using bags, 5 would fit comfortably. We are really happy with this purchase.

I purchased the Mantra 5 person tent in order to do some Spring camping with my family. We went to Arkansas over SB and had temps in the mid 30's and winds. The tent was easy to setup by myself, and help up wonderful in the wind. My only concern is the 2 tiny white spaces in seams due to tension on side poles.

Great Dry Tent | |

The Mantra 5 is hands down the best tent I have ever owned! The family and I just got back from a week long camping trip, it rained 3 of the 5 days. NOT a drop inside of the tent. If to staying dry is what you want this is the tent for you. Bottem line, buy the tent you wont regret it.

| This is a great tent for car camping. It has withstanded downpours without getting a drop inside and is solid in strong winds. The large vestibules are great for storing gear you don't want to get wet. Highly recommend this tent! | |

lousy zippers | |

We bought this tent after reading a lot of reviews, and we loved many of its features, but the first night we used it, the zipper on the fly seized. The next day, the another zipper malfunctioned, and we decided that this was it for the Kelty Mantra. I was very sorry, because there was so much to like about this tent.
