not your average sleeping bag

| This bag is way to big to fit into the "sleeping bag compartment" on my Kelty Tioga 5500 pack, and it weighs enough that it would be a bad idea anyhow. That said, it is a fantastic bag for the money, but you are gonna want to have this high on your pack, which could change your entire configuration. It is extremely comfortable and warm enough that in the warmer months I'll be using this without a sleeping pad. Obviously it'll be a bit hot if you have the thing closed up tight in warm conditions, but the foot box zips out and you can just leave it partially zipped to ensure you aren't rolling out. Overall, it is a good bag that can serve in four seasons if you aren't silly about how you use it. | |

Great quality but huge bag.

| I received this sleeping bag sometime last week and was a bit surprised by how big it is. I layed it out on the carpet so I could check it out. I really liked it and I just decided that I would get a compression sack to compensate for the bulkiness. Even when I compressed it the whole package was still too big. I have decided to exchange this bag for a different Kelty brand sleeping bag. If you don't mind the girth then this is a great sleeping bag. | |

Big, but very warm | |

| I've camped with this sleeping bag once, and while it's bulky, it is definitely warm. If you're trying to pack light, I probably wouldn't recommend it, but for light hiking or just plain car camping, it's great. | |
