Tortuous first time solo assembly | |

| I should have asked for help, but was resolute about being able to set up solo. Finally accomplished. 4 straps that look important are included but not described in the rather spartan instructions. Maybe they are the missing key to a smooth setup? Once up, very impressive, but if you don't have a strong companion for setup, you might keep shopping. Bones | |

| This shelter takes a minimum of two people to set up and as many as four depending on the arm strength of the assemblers. The instruction manual is obviously missing several steps to the setup, as we had to improvise to finally bring the structure to its intended design. There are included nylon straps that have absolutely no reference in the manual, and I couldn't even figure out how to install them, so they went unused. All in all, it's a great shelter. I also purchased the optional side panel which I highly recommend. The whole package and included bag is extremely lightweight. The poles are sturdy, though difficult to manage in the assembly process. This shelter is not perfect and comes with a lot of headaches, but if you're adventurous, give it a try. | |

| I purchased this shelter for a base area for guitar playin campers. Footprint great. Setup tough but i get better each time. The first time it seemed like it wouldnt even go together. Instructions D+. Only accepts 2 shelter panels no one said anything and i purchased 4 wished it would take 4. Panels didnt fit properly, they were not tight like in the photos. Would highly recommend to friends it was a hit on our last trip light enough to take back packing or flight. Im going back to rei to resolve these issues and hope they can work out the buggs and get a revised version on the shelf cuz this is a needed product. Become green Leave no trace keep campin | |
