Sharp! Ordered both the black burnished and the black leather. Noticed that one reviewer was disappointed that the shoe was not as shiny as expected. They might've ordered the wrong black! Make sure you order black burnished if you want a "matte" black. Black leather has a nice shine for special occasions. Comfortable, according to my son. (He's usually picky about the fit.) They seem pretty true to size. And the value and speed of shipment were wonderful, as usual. Thanks, Zappos!

This is a nice pair of shoes for formal occasions. They hold up a long time. I just purchased my son a new pair since his previous pair that he used for 2 years are too small.

Great looking shoe that my son really likes. Generous sizing. We ordered black leather. It has a nice sheen, but is not too glossy. Nice padding around the top edge of shoe.

A gorgeous shoe! My 9 year old feels like a big man in these. We took a half size larger than usual, as they are a drop narrow and hard leather.
