| I bought a stainless cap b/c it's easier to keep clean than the black plastic ones. Considering how long the bottle sits in my car after long trips sometimes (and I know I'm not the only one guilty of this), easier to clean = better. There is a little gasket at the top that I remove with a butter knife when I wash it. As of this review I don't see "Stainless Loop Cap" as an option on the Altrec webpage, but they will probably restock soon. And the "Stainless Loop Caps" are pretty easy to find on lots of places on the web. | |

| My Klean Kanteens originally came with a 2-piece plastic/stainless steel loop top caps. I do not like the 2-piece caps as they often retain whatever fluid I have in the bottle if the gets tipped or excessively jostled during transport. I replaced all my Klean Kanteen caps with the 1-piece loop top cap. Ahhhh... Problem solved! The 1-piece loop top cap is also lower profile than the original 2-piece loop top cap. | |

| We are very happy with our 18oz Klean Kanteen, my five year old son takes it (and drops it) everywhere, and since he is rough on it, it is nice to be able to get replacement parts at Altrec. Excellent product, excellent Altrec! | |
