The Degre is a great choice for hiking and mountaineering especially in the lower 48 due to a slightly softer lower shell than the cold weather boots like the Expedition. When used with a rigid crampon, they will perform well on shorter vertical ice climbs. The ball bearing lacing system allows for easy lacing. The removable synthetic liner is durable, fast drying and is rated to be warm well into the minus temperatures, yet still comfortable during warmer weather climbing. The dual density PU shell has a cork footbed and a Vibram sole. Recently updated with customizable thermo padding and high loft fleece insulation for the perfect combination of fit and warmth
