These were perfect - just what I needed |

| This is the second pair of trekking poles I have bought, my first pair were trials to see if it would be worth the investment. To my surprise when I got these, they were so much lighter and the grip more conforming than my old pair. Loved them! I have been hiking becoming an avid hiker took them to the Tahoe Rim with me. The only con is the poles came with a compass, one in each. On compass worked, the other didn't. The compass that actually worked fell out the first time I laid my poles down at our first stop and couldn't find it. The overall quality of the poles outweigh a little compass I wouldn't have used anyway. |

I love the poles but some glitches |

| I love the poles, but one of the compasses became lopsided and quit. The only other problem I had was that they came with no directions, at least not in English. Sierra Trading Post was wonderful in helping me and having someone call me promptly. I still have a little problem getting it all right, but once they get working, they are great. Truly saved my knees on steep rocky hikes in Alaska. |

Handy to have, esp. on uneven terrain! |

| I am somewhere between minimalist and comfort driven, but as I get older I need more comfort than minimalism. I bought my pair of these poles after I had hip replacement surgery. I bought a second pair for my 80+ year old mother to aid her stability when walking. I have a pair of Kemperdell XC ski poles that sometimes collapse without warning, but these trekking poles have never done that. |

will never hike without these again |

| These poles were just out of the box when my son asked to use them on his 5 day hike thru Yosemite. He called me upon his return stating that he would never go hiking again without them. So, he will buy me a replacement set so that I can finally get to use a set of these poles. He could find no issues to complain about. |

Sweet Poles |

| I liked the poles a lot, but I agree that they can collapse too easily. The twist-to-lock approach is certainly easy, but when your hands are wet it's a lot to ask. I lost the last segment of one pole, but a good samaritan brought it to me later on - score one for karma! Poles are a BIG help on steep/long hikes. |

Komperdell Anti-Shock Poles |

| First time using trekking poles, so can't compare to other brands. Poles performed well. They are light and sturdy. So far they seem to be very durable. Easy to lock and easy to turn on/off anti-shock. Overall, I'm very pleased with them. I would definitely recommend them. |

| These poles are light, stable, and strong. I'm 6'1" and weigh 220 lbs, and I took these hiking in Washington States snow and mud and they worked great. The poles kept me on my feet a number of times! The extended compass grips worked like a charm. |

| Did an extended high altitude hike in the San Juans mid August - was surprised at the number of snow fields that still remained that needed crossed. Loved having the poles in that environment - was able to quikly adjust them to accomadate for the steepness. |

great for aging knees! |

| The grips are very comfortable. Sweaty hands don't slip. Extended is nice when traversing snow fields or any slope with one side higher than the other. Very helpful in establishing a rhythm. Great for "he-man" steps- up and down. These have really saved my knees! |

| We went EVERYWHERE to look for poles and compared prices. in the end we couldn't beat the product for the price. We LOVE THEM. They are light, they collapse down to fit anywhere. They are comfortable, light, but still sturdy. All in all Great product. |
