I am a big proponent of poles |

| I have an old set of poles that I have used for many years. They save my legs both uphill and downhill and have helped me to avoid many a sprained ankle on rougher terrain. I've been waiting for the right deal to replace the old ones and this was the best deal I could hope for. These new poles are lighter than my old ones and will log many miles. As a three section pole they compact down quite nicely for carrying or strapping to your pack. They appear to be very durable and are definitely easy to adjust. The only thing I wish was different would be if they came with snow baskets, not the small baskets they came with. |

Worked for me |

| These were the first trekking poles I've ever used so I have nothing to compare it to, but I was very pleased with them. My brother and I each used one pole during a 3 day trek through the Andes of Peru (the Lares Trek to Machu Picchu). I didn't know what to expect from them but I'm *sure* they helped keep me out of streams, from sliding down rocks and lessened the impacts to my knees. I was worried I would get annoyed carrying them for 3 days, they were lightweight and useful so I wouldn't have it any other way. I really have no complaints, but again, I have nothing to compare them to. |

lightweight, great poles |

| I don't know how these will stand up for heavy duty use; they are the first pair I have had and I do not hike for great distances daily. But for the price, they are a great introduction. They fold up and fit my luggage and backpack and will be easy to carry offtrail.Since they are infinitely adjustable they are good for my husband, too: he's six feet and I'm five. |

Good basic hiking poles |

| These are great poles for the price. They are easy to adjust and strong, but have hard, uncomfortable grips. I've had great success with them so far, whether climbing mountains, snowshoeing, or backpacking. My one big frustration was when I tried to remove the standard baskets to add snow baskets. This was d*mn near impossible and the big design flaw on these. DOn't expect to change out the baskets often. |

Perfect for traveling |

| These trekking poles are very lightweight and collapse to a very short length, so they are easy to take along wherever you go. Adjusting them to the height one needs is easy and quick. I love these and think I will buy another pair for when I hike with a friend who doesn't have any. |

Basic trekking poles |

| Very light weight. Just your basic run of the mill trekking poles. If you want the bare minimum poles for a few days of backcountry, these are for you. Will do the job without the fancy shock absorbers. Would please any minimalist. Grips are hard, but probably best for feeling the terrain. |

Functions as trekking poles |

| Love that it shrinks down to 25" so I can strap it to my pack while glissading. The grips aren't the most comfortable, so after a few hours of use without gloves, blisters could form at heel of hand. Also, grips are a harder plastic/rubber - not non-slip. Otherwise great! |

I love mine! |

| I've had mine for years and would never complain about the strength or quality. They've been with me on day hikes and 4 week expeditions. I've even put all my weight on them whie carrying an 80+ pound pack and they are still true. I'd be lost without them! |

Just what I was looking for. |

| I was looking for a quality trekking pole that would callapse to 29" or less in order to fit into my travel duffle. This item collapses to 25" and fits the bill all around. |
