A boot to sing about - Never heard of La Canadienne before my buddy bought these boots a few years ago. Then I forgot about La Canadienne again. Until I saw these babies on Zappos. So glad I did. Now my buddy in Michigan and I in Texas have something to sing about across the miles. I've been looking for a good-looking waterproof boot since winter began... and now I've found them. The color is just splashy enough – classy, yet fun to wear with my "hip" drab wardrobe of black and gray and brown. They're equally at home with a mini-skirt or jeans at the bar or your parents' 50th anniversary party or that funeral where you'll show your respect. I've got the skinniest, chickeniest calves in the world and these babies don't sag too much nor do they scratch if I have short socks on. Nice. They're expensive, no doubt, but I expect them to last a long, long time.

These boots weren't made for walkin' - Super cute! And can stand up to the rain big time, no slipping or sliding. I do not have the skinny leg thing going on, so I was concerned about them fitting my calves and they do! Wonderfully… BUT they are a little too stiff over the instep which makes them a three or four hour boot as opposed to an eight hour plus boot. I've only worn them four times and my mom says they will loosen up after a few more wears... but gosh they are so cute that when I look down at my feet I get so tickled that I almost forget about the stiff instep.

These boots are made with very nice materials. They have a good feel. I have short legs, 29" inseam in pant, moderately wide feet and bunions. In some shoe brands I don't need to go to the wide sizes. The D width in these boots are snug on me, but work, as the leather has a little give to it. If you have seriously wide feet you may want to go with the most wide size. The calf fits well, with lots of room and the boot is a good height for shorter people. Overall, a very nice, comfortable boot. I would buy this brand again.

The boot is beautiful and almost fit. I usually wear an 8 wide, so I order up an 8.5 wide and I got it on, but if my feet were to swell even a tiny bit, they wouldn't fit. So I returned them and am on the waiting list for a 9 extra wide to see if that will fit. This is the only boot I have seen that appears to be orthotic friendly. My orthotic fit perfectly, but it wasn't meant to be in this size. I hope the larger size comes in before the winter is over.

I bought these boots for my upcoming move to Toronto. I wanted a more fashionable pair of boots for the winter besides my clunky L.L. Bean boots and these appear to fit the bill. The fit is perfect from the ankle down, but I need to take them to a cobbler shop to take in the boot from the ankle up since I have a pretty skinny leg. These boots are also very lightweight and not heavy like the rest of my winter boots at all. I look forward to using them this upcoming winter.

These boots are red! I ordered these boots thinking they would be a subtle red/cherry color. They were pretty, but I didn't think I could wear them without making a statement. They are great boots, but I was looking for something that would go with everything. I have returned the red and will reorder in black since the boots are very well made, have a great shape, and are very stylish. I have other La Canadienne boots and just like those… these were right-out-of-the-box comfortable. Just a little too loud.

These boots in cherry are hot! I get compliments on them walking down the street. Pretty amazing for a lower wedge kind of boot. I bought them in a wide, my feet aren\'t that wide but I find that I do have problems with this brand and style being a little narrow for my foot in the regular width. They\'re pretty comfy too. I haven\'t done too many miles in them yet but I think they\'ll stand up. I\'m so glad I bought them!

I bought a pair in black patent leather. They feel great! True to size, comfortable, totally waterproof, and really warm. Almost too warm. The details and style are high quality and I was tempted to buy a second pair in red. However, the price stopped me from doing so. I will add that I have been looking at these boots for 3 consecutive years looking at them, but finally decided to pamper myself... it was like a dream came true.

Wonderfully comfortable and very versatile - I've bought and returned SO many boots. A year ago I learned I had bunions and that my feet had widened during my pregnancies. So shoes/boots I'd been wearing for a long time all of a sudden hurt. I bought these as 8 wides and have been able to wear them for nearly full days, right out of the box. Very comfortable and they look great, especially for such low heels!

Hesitant, but now a convert! Okay, I wasn't crazy about the looks of this boot when I saw it in the flesh. I thought they were kind of orthopedic-looking, but I wore them out & about & I'm sold! There's plenty of room in the toe box; I think they're a tad tight around the calf, but I like the height of the shaft; not too tall. They were comfortable right out of the box!

Wasn't meant to be - This boot felt comfortable and warm. The height was perfect for my petite frame. So why did I return it? The look. I could not get pass how ugly looking this boot is. I was really trying to convince myself to keep it and hopefully I would get to like it but I realized that that just won't happen. Hopefully I can find a better looking one from this brand. And as usual, Zappos was fantastic!

I ordered the red ones; they are very cute but too small. The quality seems good; I wish they fit! The heel part seems stiff, too.
