Favorite Shoes Ever!

I bought these shoes online about a month ago without ever trying them on, which is a big risk. Turned out that they fit perfectly, provide excellent support, feel light and breathable yet they keep my feet dry even when running around in wet grass.

I wear a USA size of 10.5 normally so I picked a size 44 when I ordered these shoes and they fit perfectly. They are great for day hiking or trail running or just walking around town.

I have worn them to soccer practice and they are just about as good as soccer cleats as far as traction goes. Of course the down side to having great traction is that those deep treads can get filled up with mud and grass when you run around on wet soft fields. So remember to take them off outside and clap them together to clean them out before tracking in the muck. But I guess that is always the case no matter what shoes you wear.

They look great as well. I have had a number of people ask about them and complement them. They are certainly not your run of the mill pair of sneakers. They are a bit pricey even on sale like I got them, but so far I would have to say they are worth it. Definately my favorite pair of shoes ever and I have owned a lot of shoes over the years.

All a rounder

I really dig these shoes for runs both on and off trail but more so when i'm not on pavement. This is the second pair of Sportiva runners I have had and I came back for a reason. I really like the support I feel like I had laterally on the trail. The cushioning is just right for my liking and the distances I put in. As for the GTX liner I sometimes wonder why I go for shoes with a waterproof liner since when its raining water is certainly going to get into the shoe over the top. However, when the rain stops, I found the puddles are no match and my feet stay dry. As for the sizing I feel they are true to size, especially if you know and use the euro sizes.

My son and I just completed a week at Lenhok'sin - backpacking around Lake Merriweather at BSA's Goshen Scout reservation in SW Virginia. We decided to go with a trail shoe rather than hiking boots since we are verging on lite packs at 30 lbs and the summer heat was record-breaking. Upon recommendation from another scout leader, we both ordered the Sportiva Wildcats from Zappos. Both of our fits were tight so we ordered another two sizes each to ensure we had just the right fit with liners and light hiking socks. We returned the unused shoes without a problem and could not be happier with the performance during over 40 hours of hiking in one week. Next summer - Philmont in New Mexico with those Wildcats!

best approach/ running shoe ever!!

Ok listen, i ran cross country and track in high school, 2 years ago, and i ran over 5000 miles in 4 years..(i know my running stuff) I have a PR in the mile as 4:44 and a 2 mile of 10:27. These shoes GRIP EVERYTHING on dirt, leaves, gravel, grass, you name it. now, there not the best for running on the sidewalk, but if your going on soft ground such as the terrain previously named, buy these. The rubber is so freaking sticky. the shoe is narrow so buyer beware! I have a narrow and foot and the size 10 was true to size! amazing shoe that feels like it rock with when you heel to toe transfer. ...simply incredible running shoe for the Smokies!

Indestructible (puppy approved)

After my sweet 3 month old black lab decided to make a snack out of my old trail runners, I was in the market for some puppy approved shoes. Hiking fourteeners, being a bad a**, and backpacking in tennis shoes is just not cool or comfortable. So now that my black lab is a 11 month old young man (and his shoe chewing is in the past... I think). I invested in these bad boys. Super light and comfortable. Perfect for day hiking and backpacking (if you have good ankles). And the precious black lab angel won't dare stick a canine on it. Pretty much what I am saying is that these bad boys are perfect for anyone and anything. I would highly recommend.

Great support with a solid sole and very comfortable upper

These are my favorite running shoes. They absorb much more shock them my Brooks ASR7 Adrenalines. There is a flap on the tongue to stuff the lace ends down so they wont come undone or catch on debris. They breath well and the upper is frictionless for blister free running. No break in period needed for the Wildcat. Ran 21 miles the other day and no hot spots at all. Thanks La sportiva.

Most comfortable and cushioned trail shoe I have ever worn. I slightly under-pronate and need cushioning; most trail shoes that I have researched or worne lack cushion or are made for pronation control. Only downsides are mesh tears a little easy and strings are too long. The sole could stand to be a little more aggressive. Ordering my second pair now and always come back to Zappos for the customer service.

Stood up to a royal beat down in Peru. Totes Rad Kicks Brooo!

I took these bad boys with me on a Trek/Bike trip to Cusco Peru and they just preformed their little hearts out! They fit perfectly true to size 100%. I wouldn't recommend taking them to super wet climates due to the light breathable mesh/non-water proof-ness, but if you're dry they fly. Comfy soles and awesome tread, no seriously...NO seriously! They're great. Buy them.

Great shoe for almost everything

Very happy with this shoe, although had to return it for a larger size. It's cut a bit narrow, but has a good size toe box that is great. I'm a 10.5 and had to go to a 44.5 in this shoe.I'ts vedry stable on the trail and good support all around. It's very light and breaths well. Good looking too!!!

Great shoes

These shoes are great. They are my main pair of shoes for everyday use and they are wonderful. I do a lot of running around and they have a lot of support and comfort. I've also used them on light trials for easy hiking. Love the shoes and would suggest them to anyone. Cheers!

A comfortable shoe for trail running or day hiking.

This is a good looking, comfortable shoe. It handled pretty well for trail running and day hiking. However, eventually due to rubbing and abrasions when on the trail, the mesh near the little toe will break. At this point tries to slide out through the new opening and the shoe is no longer useable. I didn't track the mileage on the shoe up to this point, so while I had the shoe for a year and did many many hikes, I expected it to last a bit longer. I would not expect this kind of failure with a shoe that used more standard materials.
