Positive Reviews:

Great a SAC Price!

Rating:*****
Have two solid weekend of 14er hiking in these. They're light, comfortable, great traction and support. They aren't heavy duty, last a decade hiking boots but aren't much heavier than tennis shoes and a WAY smarter alternative! The finish somehow seems to keep from getting scrapes and scratches now matter how many cracks, crevices, and boulders I scrape them on.

Oh No, I'm sorry but No

Rating:*
I bought these on Steepandcheap back at the start of this hiking season. Great deal I thought. But I feel compelled to respectfully disagree with any good rating for these boots. I climbed close to 20 of Colorado's 14ers this summer in these boots, including three out of four great traverses, the Wilson Group in the rain, and the Eolus Group in two inches of snow. I was lucky to be successful in these things. These boots are not water proof at all, even after waterproof treatment. They are not durable at all either. The trim started to rip apart from the rest of the boot after maybe two hikes. The Vibram soles are the only plus. If you plan on only hiking 2 mountains total, Class 1 or 2 walk-ups, in perfect weather, and want to feel good about environmental friendly boots, then buy these. Otherwise, don’t.
