It was a great choice. | |

| It isn't the HEAVIEST canoe, but it's closer to heavy than light. Combined with the fact that it has a middle seat instead of a yoke, it's not an easy canoe to portage. Takes 2 guys, carrying comfortable handle at back and front. So... it's not ideal for the Boundary Waters. But then, it wasn't meant to be a BWCA canoe. That said... I did take to the BWCA... and it perfomed fine. Tracked fine thru the wind, is nice and stable when loaded down. I'll take it there again. Now, for other pursuits... taking a day trip down a river... fishing on a lake... exploring a lake... with my kids... IT HAS BEEN GREAT, GREAT, GREAT! I've used it a lot this summer... and I really like how if floats and handles. It has higher "secondary stability" than "initial stability"; which, I like, especially when power boat waves hit. It is even good to float alone, either with weight in the front to keep the nose down, or by sitting in the middle seat. And the curved in hull (tumblehome) actually does make paddling easy; you hold the paddle closer to you. Without a long of space in front of the front paddler, s/he can get spashed a bit. I have a small truck to carry it in, so the 14' size is nice.. I'd only get the 16' version if I really wanted the extra space to haul stuff; otherwise, why store the xtra 2 feet? I'm very happy with it. It has been a good choice for me and my 2 boys. And yes, the backrests and cup holders are nice. Have you ever tried to fish while your Gatorade and spare tackle are rolling about the bottom of the canoe? Nah. Just put 'em in the cup holders! | |

Pleasant Surprise | |

| We bought this canoe for myself(60 yr old 6ft3inches and 300 lbs) my wife 5ft3 and 120 lbs and my son 7yr old 4ft3 and 70lbs. With me in the rear son in middle seat and wife in front.. it is well balanced and showed a lot of stability. Our first outing was a bit nerve racking as it was more than 20 yrs since I'd paddled and the first time for my wife and son.We spent 2 hours on Lake Wylie and had great fun. My son fishing from middle seat appreciated`the stability. We did wobble sometimes when my wife shifted her weight, but there was no spill !! Next outing the following week was down at Edisto Beach in the St Helena Sound. We paddled up Big Bay Creek and wash from power boats was not a problem. We gained more confidence and think its a great addition to our lives.Paddling for me in the rear with a back rest is very comfortable.. I use a kayak paddle and was surprised at the turn of speed and manouvrability. Later we took it out to sea, in modest conditions it was fine. I don't know yet what it's like to launch in waves. we will see !!! However I heartily endorse this canoe its a fun boat with room to fish and carry enough day gear.. very pleased and when this one wears out would consider the 16ft version.. | |

Nice family canoe | |

| I was looking for a canoe that would work well for fishing alone but also for taking the family (wife and 2 year old) on lake and river trips. I was very nervous about purchasing one without trying it out and thought that I would have to try more than a few canoes before finding one that would work for me solo (at 6'2, 300 lbs). While the rear seat obviously didn't work solo, the middle seat was perfect. The canoe sat almost flat and felt very stable. With my wife in the front and 2 year old in the middle it was just as stable, as long as my wife was not paddling (she likes to lean over to get her paddle in the water). I'm very happy with this canoe and looking forward to getting lots of use from it. | |

| my buddy and I both bought the same canoes. We used them for a 2 day trip. went well. We did 40 mile in a day. very comfortable kick back and relax. we had a normal canoe go with they complained about they're backs. can fit small 20 can cooler, a normal 48 can cooler, a large dry bag on top and plenty of room for 2. If I had to buy another canoe I would buy the longer 16 foot for what I do. I just do big river trips. the only bad thing is that the adventure canoes aren't the lightest. thats the only bad thing. Best bang for your [$]. [*]yeah! | |

Great Canoe | |

| Great buy, I have had mine for 2 summers now and I could not have asked for more. I have had it on the river about a dozen times. I am definitly a recreational paddler and it has suited all of my purposes fine. I love the space for camping gear. It is very easy to manuver when compared to all the aluminum ones I have rented in the past. I would buy it over tomorrow. | |

Great First Canoe | |

| Bought this canoe after relocating to MN and being a first timer, love it. Tracks well and easy to guide. I use my kayak paddle and utilize the middle seat for solo trips. Has enough room for a two day trip down the St. Croix, able to use the back seat when the front is loaded down. This isn't the lightest canoe, but still a great buy overall. | |

| We have the 16 foot version and it is a blast. Your back will not hurt either since there is an awesome back rest. You can even attach a trolling motor and take it fishing with your buddy! A fun boat. My husband said it even handled the rapids well:-O | |

Ecellent canoe for Families | |

| This canoe is excellent for day trips on flat water. The seat make paddling all day a breeze. Things to know before you buy. It is heavy and there is no yoke. Makes putting it on the car (solo) a challenge. | |
