If you own the Marmot Aura 2P Footprint, the Aura 2P Footprint is a must have. Protecting the floor of your tent from rocks, sticks, or anything else that might cause damage will prolong the life of your tent and keep you warmer, as a footprint acts as insulation between you and the ground. Marmot has designed the Aura 2P Footprint specifically for the Aura 2P Footprint, so you will have a perfect fit. Take just the footprint, poles and fly and you have a lighter weight shelter if you need to move fast & light.

Use this lightweight nylon tarp under your Marmot Aura 2P tent to protect its floor from abrasion and wear.

| well i guess i am not as 'outdoorsy' as i thought i was...after a week long hiking trip inside a volcanic crater i learned that this here footprint can be used with the aura 2p tent stakes, poles and rainfly to make a 'barebones' setup...no actual tent thinggy required...i never got to try it and i guess that would be cool...if you were a super hero impervious to bugs or there were no more bugs left on earth...but i dont think that would happen unless there is some gnarly nuclear did i spell that right? war, and i dont think anyone wants that...ill have the bugs instead thank you very much. | |

| I'm glad I got the footprint - it fits the tent perfectly and does not add a lot of weight. It's been very durable so far - no signs of wear yet. I was confused at first about how to stake this down with the tent. I found it best to share one stake between the tent and footprint on each corner. Adjust tightness by switching stake tape holes. | |

| You already know why you need a footprint. So get this one because it matches your Aura tent. And although you can pitch the rainfly and poles without the footprint (if you have soft ground to jab the poles into), you'll sleep more soundly knowing your tent isn't going to pop out of the ground and collapse on you. | |
