| I recently returned from a skiing trip in Stowe, VT with these pants and will be using them on Mt. Washington later this year. Temps went into the single-digit range after sundown and with these and some Patagonia Capilene 3 bottoms I was fine. The zippered inseam vents were incredible! No more sweaty, sticking to my leg feeling(you know what I'm talking about!). The knee pads are a little low but still insulate fine when kneeling on cold ground or snow. The hydrophobicity of the material is fantastic, little more than a decent shake is required to rid the fabric of instantly beaded droplets. Also, the inner gaiter has a looped snap up front for feeding though laces and is large enough to go around a ski boot and not overstretch. AND the super heavy nylon inner ankles showed no wear at all after a week of intense skiing. Overall, I can't describe how happy I am with my purchase. | |

1 week review | |

Liv e in the UK and bought these cargo pants off the internet so was a little bit apprehensive about what I was going to receive. First impressions were good, perfect colour match with my Helly Hansen ski jacket. After trying them on, was surprised with the size of the pants. One of the reviews said that if you wore anything over a 32 inch waist then you should go for a large. I ordered a medium (I usually wear 32 inch jeans) and found them to be on the large side - at least equivalent to 34 inch jeans if not more. After a week's skiing holiday, was very pleased with the ski pants - warm (considering it's really a shell pant), windproof and good water repellency. I removed the kneepads as I'm a skier and as far as I can tell they are designed for boarders who have to kneel on the snow regularly.

Though it's not the absolute perfect pant, for the money it can't be beat. Great for skier or snowboarder, the Cargo pant has many features not found on more expensive pants. Tons of pockets. The mesh lining turns into a soft thin fleece lining around the seat to give just that little extra warmth while sitting in the snow or riding the lifts. The removable knee pads are a nice bonus too. If you are looking for a pant that's a little more burly looking than the rest, look no further. As for waterproofness, they kept me dry while skiing in the rain at Panorama this spring, so no problems there.

| These pants are absolutely perfect. I recently purchased a medium in the lead color and I am 100% satisfied. I often have trouble finding pants that fit me well as I consider myself to fit right between a medium and a large. These pants bridge that gap by having plenty of length inseam 31-32? and adjustable waist straps which allow you to cinch the pants tight to your waist or let them ride low on your hips. Throw in the fact that they are made incredibly well and fashion more than adequate pocket room and I'd say they are definitely deserving of the Marmot logo. | |

On The Money! | |

I have owned Marmots Corbet, and Free Flight and these are the best for the price. I bought these in size large because the Marmot XL seems to be too big for me. For ref I'm 6Ft 220lbs. I used these pants all winter for Alpine Skiing, XC Skiing and walking my dog. They are very low key Snow pants and when it was cold and snowy outside I'd wear them to the store or around town. Bottom Line...If a friend wanted me to recommemd a snow pant. I'd tell them to save themselves $50-$100 and buy these.

Spent 4 days @ Snowbird in everything from 8" deep powder to groomed runs and dripping chairlifts (got above 32 on a couple occasions near the bottom of the mountain). The pants had no sign of wear, tear, wetness, etc. Good thing I bought black - I'll be wearing these for years to come!

| I just love these. Waterproof, windproof, light comfotable, and the fit is excellent. The built in snow gaitors keep the powder out. With a base layer, they went to Alaska 2 weeks ago and just really did their job. Probably did more than they were made to do. I was in a dog sled zipping along and couldn't feel the wind at all in -25 degree conditions. A great product. | |

"Very versatile and comfortable"

| I used these pants for my Aconcagua climb and really liked them. They are comfortable, shed wind and water and held up to fourteen days of abuse with no signs of wear. I really appreciated the big pockets. The only drawback is I was accused of wearing snowboarder pants (you skiers out there will realize this isn't good!). | |

GREAT PANTS! | |

The Marmot Cargo pants have met and exceeded my needs. These pants are 100% waterproof and have ample pockets for all of your snowboard tool needs. The knee pads are a must for any snowboarder, and the extra fleece lining in the seat never leave you cold and wet. Marmot has done it again!

Two seasons with this cargo pant and I wouldn't purchase another pair. Biggest gripe is that after about sixty days on the slopes they go from waterproof to an adhesive sponge. I've tried all waterproofing products and nothing will restore them to their new state. Good price and works great for the 30 days a season person, but if your spending half the year on the slopes or in the backcountry this is not the pant for you.

It doesn't seem as if marmot put much thought into these pants. The articulated knees are nice, as well as the design and function of the cargo pockets. I've found the knee pads to be nice whether tele or snowboarding. My gripes: h20 doesn't bead very well when wet. The surface material absorbed much of it, however I never felt it on the inside of the pant. The leg vents are small and should definitely be larger. The main hand pockets at waist are just like jean pockets with a small piece of velcro keeping it closed, still allowing snow to enter the pocket when you turf it. All and all, not too impressed. I purchased a pair of rip curl pants a few years ago and liked them much better than these. On a side note, they fit snug, which I like for the back country, but not for the lifts.

decent product | |

I'm a big Marmot fan and these pants are solid. Functionally they work just fine - what you would expect from ski/snowboard pants. Two gripes. One, Marmot sizing is too small. I wish they made sizes more like The North Face. I normally wear a Medium for almost all men' stuff, but needed a large here. They are true to their sizing. If you wear anything over a 32" waist, you need the large or higher. Second, the knee pads are too low. They are off about 6". I think it's a great idea to have them, but I had the same problem with both Med & Large sizes and I am 5-8. Otherwise solid offering from Marmot
