The Col EQ -20°F Sleeping bag by Marmot is the bag to take when you know the temperature is going to be headed below 0 degrees. The Col EQ is an 800+ fill goose down bag that is surrounded by a waterproof/breathable fabric called MemBrain, keeping your bag dry and warm no matter what weather you encounter. Trusted on many mountaineering expeditions due to its durability, incredible weight to warmth ratio and all of the details Marmot added to make your sleeping experience just a little more peaceful.
For example they added a 9 baffle chest section that runs vertically in core for maximum down control. Rolling from side to side won't shift the down, eliminating cold spots throughout the night. A nautilus 6 baffle hood has 6 chambers of down around the head for better down control and fit, and 11 baffles in the foot box are vertical to keep down around your feet. Stay warm through the night with the Col EQ, that is until you have to use the restroom, than you are on your own.
The Marmot Col EQ strikes a superb balance between warmth, weight, and durability, making it the go-to bag for ascents and expeditions when you know the mercury is headed below 0° F. The Col EQ is filled with 800+Fill goose down which makes the bag remarkabley light and compressed considering the temperature rating.

Striking a superb balance between warmth, weight, and durability, the Marmot COL EQ -20 Degree Sleeping Bag is the go-to bag for ascents and expeditions when you know the mercury is headed below 0°F.
A superb balance between warmth, weight and durability, the Col EQ from Marmot is an excellent choice for Alaskan and Canadian Rockies' climbs (bear bell not included). 800-fill goose down, nature's warmest insulator, has been baffled heavily to allow for unmoving warmth.

The Col EQ - 20 inch from Marmot is a mountaineering classic that strikes a perfect balance between weight, warmth and durability, making it one of the best all around cold conditions bags made.
The Marmot Col EQ -20 Degree Down Sleeping Bag uses 800+ fill down and alternating baffles to assure you stay warm in absolutely harsh winter conditions. The Col EQ Sleeping Bag is built for winter mountaineering trips, climbing in Alaska, and winter camping in extremely cold regions. This Marmot sleeping bag is covered with Aerolight MemBrain—one of the lightest waterproof, breathable, downproof fabrics available. When water must be kept in a thermos to keep it from freezing, sleep in the Marmot Col EQ Sleeping Bag to keep yourself from doing the same.

Excellent Bag | |

I just bought this bag for my wife. I have had one myself for 5 years. I used it on an Aconcagua climb (sleeping at 19,800ish), and have used it on other climbs and several winter camping trips in northern Minnesota.

| Bought this product on sale 9 years ago paid just under 500$. I have not once regretted this purchase. I went from freezing at 20 degrees with a 0 degree rated bag to sleeping warm and cozy in negative temps. I crawl in cold and wake up warm. I have tested the bag to -17 without a tent and slept the whole night. Spent a night at the base of a climb in heavy wet snow without a tent and thought that my trip was going to be in trouble, but once the sun came out the bag dried out in less than an hour and the insulation never really got wet at all. The bag is light for it's capability and packs down super small considering. High quality construction. I have definitely taken good care of this bag always storing it hanging but am amazed that after 9 years it is still as brand new. I would pay retail for this bag without a second thought, the sale just made it a bonus. Definitely in my top 10 best gear purchases of all time. | |

Super Warm | |

I spent the night on my buddies apartment room floor the other night and this thing kept me so warm I was sweeting. It was however around 72 degrees inside. The night after though I spent above treeline on a 14er in the winter. It was about -25 outside and I slept like a baby in nothing but my boxers. Plenty of room for my waterbottles and clothes in the sack. A really really great, warm bag. Nothing beats marmots down!

I love this bag! This bag kept me amazingly toasty on a winter backpack trip. After my first night in this bag I slept so well I couldn't wait for bedtime the next night just to get my bod into this awesome bag! I used a medium compression bag and got this bag about as small as a beach ball. Worth every penny!

| I wasn't sure at first if I was comfortable with the weight of the bag, but after getting it in the stuff sac and spending a couple nights in the Marmot Col EQ (Fall 2006) I am very pleased with my purchase. Extremely nice with high loft and easy zipping and draw cords. Also plenty of room and it packs nicely. | |

This is an excellent bag. My friend who was 6'6" said it was a little small for him and he was using the long. Also it is definitely too warm for year round any conditions weather. If you sleep with it unzipped than you should be ok in warmer conditions, but other wise this is a excellent winter bag.

Marmot Col EQ Sleeping Bag: -20 Degree Down

Nice, warm, super puffy down bag. Haven't pushed the -20 limit, but at 10 above I had to open the zipper. Quality materials and a good zipper that even I haven't managed to screw up. I fit mine in a granite gear size large compression bag and it makes it a nice, rock hard size. http://www.backcountry.com/store/GRG0005/Granite-Gear-Round-

I love this bag so much! After camping in a lean-to last winter in -15 degrees Fahrenheit weather I was sold. Having to take of layers when its that cold is so nice. The hood has plenty of room and the pouch hear the hood is a nice touch. this bag is great and defiantly worth the money
