The CWM EQ -40°F Sleeping Bag by Marmot is stuffed to the gills with 800+ Fill goose down for the ultimate in warmth when out in the coldest winter weather. The CWM EQ is a down bag that is surrounded by a waterproof/breathable fabric called MemBrain, keeping your bag dry and warm no matter what weather you encounter.
Trusted on many mountaineering expeditions due to its durability, incredible weight to warmth ratio and all of the details Marmot added to make your sleeping experience just a little more peaceful. For example they added a 9 baffle chest section that runs vertically in core for maximum down control. Rolling from side to side won't shift the down, eliminating cold spots throughout the night.
A nautilus 6 baffle hood has 6 chambers of down around the head for better down control and fit, and 11 baffles in the foot box are vertical to keep down around your feet. Stay warm through the night with the CWM EQ, that is until you have to use the restroom, than you are on your own.

Stuffed with loads of the highest quality down and designed for expedition use, the Marmot CWM delivers plenty of warmth down to temperatures encountered only in extreme environments.

This goose down bag from Marmot® is designed for extreme cold--from polar regions to high-altitude mountaineering in the Himalayas.

The CWM (pronounced "koom") sleeping bag from Marmot is a mega-warm bag designed for ultra-cold conditions, like Himalayan climbing, Denali summit attempts, and Antarctic expeditions.

Stuffed with loads of the highest quality down and designed for expedition use, the Marmot CWM EQ -40 Degree Sleeping Bag delivers plenty of warmth down to temperatures encountered only in extreme environments.
The Marmot CWM EQ -40 Degree Down Sleeping Bag is designed for use in the absolute coldest climates on earth. Whether you're skiing to the North Pole or mountaineering in the Himalayas, this Marmot sleeping bag provides the warmth you need. Surrounding its high-loft 800+ fill down is Aerolight MemBrain —one of the lightest waterproof, breathable, downproof fabrics available. Alternating baffles thought the CWM Sleeping Bag assure that it has no cold spots and delivers the perfect amount of insulation to each part of your body.

Winter camping in AK? Get this bag.
| Rating: | ![]() |
I bought this bag for dog mushing trips in interior Alaska, where the temps really let you test out a bag's rating. This one does the trick! Of course, you do need to wear long underwear, hat, and warm socks, but you should anyway. It's just one more thing you can do to be nice to your expensive equipment.

Perfect Bag for Denali | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
I have used this bag on Denali several times. It has kept me warm down to 30 below. Eating a half stick of butter in your hot chocolate before bed helps. Also, when awoken from cold, having a candy bar on hand to munch down is always a good idea and lets me get back to sleep. The zippers are strong and the bag has incredible loft. It cinches around my head very well. I take off my jackets for sleeping and have long underwear and fleece with my puffy jacket over my feet for added warmth. I have used this bag in the Tetons in winter when it has been severely cold outside and I was toasty warm and smiling. It is pretty heavy, but that is the price for warmth! Have a great adventure!

"Want to sleep warm in -40 F? This is the bag."
| Rating: | ![]() |
| While ambient temperatures were -30 F in Greenland, I was sweating in this bag wearing only my long underwear. When I used this bag in Siberia where temperatures hit -50 F, I was still feeling quite warm. Of course, the tent matters, but most people don't carry Arctic Ovens and it isn't always sunny, so a good bag is essential. Remember, you pay what you get. The steep price of this product actually pays off! I had enough wiggle room, so I was able to toss and turn in it. The only problem was stuffing it in the stuff sack. The bag is so darn puffy. I love it. | |

"If you need warmth to the nth degree, this is your bag..."
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Great bag, but only suitable for conditions below 0 degree Fahrenheit. I used this bag two nights at +15 degrees and ended up unzipping the zipper all the way down. There is ample shoulder room for a mid-size guy like myself. I would suggest using a large compression bag instead of the provided stuff sack, as it’s difficult to get this much bag down to a reasonable size. All in all, an excellent choice if you’re going to extreme temperatures and/or you naturally sleep cold. The waterproofing feature is something that you will never go without once you’ve had it. | |

"Wow. Toasty!" | |

| All the little extras that make the night more cofortable. The different drawstrings, the lack of Velcro to the chin, and the security of knowing this bag will just laugh at almost anything mother nature thinks up. Get the long keep your layers and such from freezing by your feet | |

"Well worth the coin!!!"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Like sleeping on the sun, well not exactly but close. It was hard to drop the cash but hey isn't a good nights sleep worth it, especially in the harshest of enviroments. Have used it on two nights at -5 and slept like a baby. | |
