The Marmot DriClime Jacket preserves the form of the Original but wraps it in a forward thinking shell with a potent DWR finish to protect against light rain.
The Marmot Women's DriClime Jacket has been praised for years as one of the most versatile pieces of clothing you can wear in the mountains. Its combination of a wicking lining and a windproof breathable nylon shell make it an excellent choice for a mid-layer on winter trips or a stand-alone top in nicer weather. Marmot gave the DriClime Jacket a little extra weather protection with Marmot Defender DWR, which sheds light rain and moisture. The DriClime Jacket weighs only 14oz and compresses well when it's time to stash it in your pack; though it's not likely to be in there very often.
This lightweight, wind & water resistant, moisture wicking DriClime® jacket is a consistent favorite of outdoor enthusiasts. Used as a base layer, mid layer, or shell, Marmot's Original Driclime Jacket for Women will out perform your expectations in all types of weather and soon become any women's favorite active piece.
Multi-tasking is Marmot's DriClime jacket's middle name. Worn as a shell, this ultra-lightweight jacket has a DWR finish to ward off rain, while a DriClime moisture-wicking lining in the collar and chin guard lends breathability and excellent moisture transfer.

light, functional, packable

| I have wanted this jacket since I saw my husband's Driclime windshirt! It is very light and packable, but works very well to ward off wind and light rain. It has served us well in the mild autumn/spring of north Texas as a single layer over a shirt, or as a second layer over a sweatshirt/sweater in colder weather. It was awesome for our trip to the rainy and cool Pacific Northwest also. I generally wear a Small in clothes and I felt it does run on the smaller side (or probably true to size but close cut, in which a small is too small for me as a second layer.) So I got a medium, and am happy with the fit because it has room for a light sweater underneath without being baggy. The only thing I wish was better is the pocket. The side hand pockets are nice, but could be even more functional with zippers, and I'd love to see a roomy Napolean pocket like the men's version has, instead of the tiny arm pocket. Overall, a great, versatile purchase! | |

The absolute best | |

This is the best jacket I have ever owned. It's warmer than you expect, softer than I could have dreamed, fits fantastically, and is amazingly wind resistant. It almost makes me sad that it's summer right now because I can't find any excuse to wear it! This jacket is almost perfect for hiking, backpacking, cycling, hanging out, walking the dog, and just about any outdoor activity you enjoy. The only word of caution, I bought the Radiate color and in the pictures above it appears as golden- it's actually a great orange. I was surprised that it didn't match the picture but the orangey color is awesome!

Perfect Lightweight Jacket

| Perfect lightweight jacket, works as a mid-layer or as an outerlayer in moderate weather as well as drizzle, fog, or snow showers. I bought this jacket for my teenaged daughter. She wears it over her basketball shirt and shorts on her way to and from practice, or when working out. When she wears long underwear underneath the jacket and Dri-Clime pants, it works for running or snow shoeing in cold weather. My wife, my other daughter, my son and myself all own one of these Dri-Clime jackets. Excellent for travel, as it weighs nothing and packs up so small. | |

Outstanding | |

As others have said, they take a little bit of getting used to (1/2 hour of running), then they are amazing! They have kept me blister-free in shoes that were blister-prone and have protected my little piggies from uneven and slightly long toe-nails! I have not found them to wear too quickly (though I have WAY too many socks in my rotation) and would say that they are neither "race-day lite" nor "thor-lo thick": they are perfect for every day runs, walking around, biking, and anything that will keep you on your feet for a while (like ultras).

| This is a great all around useful piece of clothing, it's does so many things. It's pretty classy for a high performance type of jacket. It has an understated basic design, will keep me warm and dry, I can add layers under and over it. Will be real nice to XC-ski with on changeable weather days, and to pull on after a work out on the trail, summer, winter spring & fall. It looks good for going to town too. | |

Great jacket for the year without a summer

I bought this jacket in June. It's July and I've worn it hiking, biking, and running errands around town. The color is great (Radiate is definitely more orangey in person than on the screen, or at least MY screen) and it works well in light rain or for short bursts in a downpour, but I wouldn't rely on it as my own rain protection. It's pretty wind-resistant, though. True to fit, well-made, etc., like you'd expect from Marmot.

I love this jacket. The fit is great, it's incredibly versatile, and it's light. I have used it as a baselayer, mid-layer, and outer layer. The inside is nice and soft against the skin. ONLY drawback is the non-zippered pockets : I get concerned that I'll lose things out of them. Oh, a drawstring at the waist would also be nice. But even with these two small issues, I'll be buying another one when mine wears out!

DriClime is the Way to Go

| A lady in my travel group had one and I liked it so much I looked for it on the Internet. Of course, Sierra Trading Post had the best price! It's cool looking yet has warmth; the only thing I didn't like was the length is longer in the back. No problem - I'm having my tailor "straighten" the hemline. I look forward to my next trip so I can wear it somewhere rainy! | |

I should have bought 2. | |

I love the Marmot DriClime series. this jacket is a little more of a heavyweight than the windshirt and does everything Marmot promises it will. I love it for light rain and / or aerobic activities (running, backpacking, etc.) or even as a mid-layer in the mountains since it wicks like mad. I even wear it around town too because it looks so fabulous. I should have bought 2 of them.

5 stars - "Love it" is what my sister-in-law thought of this jacket. She's not an outdoors person certainly not a backpacker but she always compliments me on my outdoor clothing since that's all I wear now. If you look at the specs and description you'll find this jacket an excellent gift for people you love that aren't outdoor types.

Way too short | |

| The description of this jacket was 27" length which is not accurate & shortens to about 22" in front. I don't like the style at all and I am sending it back. | |

| Cute jacket, but the materials feel a little cheaper than I would expect. The cut is a little big, so there's plenty of extra room in it. Good jacket for the price. | |
