| I used this the first week to go on an snow overnighter. It was great as an outer layer. The weather was snowing all day the first day and I didn't get wet from the heavy snow. It is not heavy enough for to use a insulation layer but if you have plenty of layers on under it it would extend the range of the jacket possibly into the deep of winter. It makes a great addition to the quiver. Just right for all the days when I don't really want the weight of a Gortex outer shell. |

| Got this jacket for the rainy summer season. I live in Japan and the rain can get crazy. I needed something light that looked good and this jacket does the job. You can barely feel it when it's on. My only complaint is when you roll up the hood the collar is a little thick. No worries though since it comes off. And of course the Altrec customer service was tops. |

| I totally love this jacket. It performs well under the rain and it is very light weight. It is supposed to be used as rain gear and that is what it does best. It isn't a good wind breaker and it doesn't keep you very warm if you do not have additional layers underneath. |

| I haven't yet had a downpour in which to test my new Marmot Impulse jacket, but so far so good. The material quality was great and the jacket was true-to-size. Altrec customer service was awesome [thanks, Aubrey!], reinforcing my impression that I made a good purchase at a great price from an excellent company. |

| The first weekend After receiving this jacket it rained very heavely in New York, I took the it out of the bag and used it with a T shirt, the jacket kept me dry and comfortable, well worth the money. I will be using the jacket through the fall. |
