The Kompressor Plus Pack is the larger version of the classic Marmot Kompressor. This lightweight pack features 1100 cubic inches of storage, a hydration sleeve, multiple pockets, compression straps, and ice axe loops. If you are putting this pack in your luggage you will love that the closed-cell foam back sheet is removable. Once you take that out the whole pack will roll into the lid. The Kompressor Plus (25190) will help keep you cool in warm conditions with its airmesh shoulder straps. This Marmot pack weighs in at only 12 ounces.

Durable, Minimalist...Rare.
I bought this pack to use as a stuffsack for food and daypack in Mongolia last summer on a 6 week backpacking trip. Through planes, buses, taxis, backpacking, and constantly being handled and tossed about by myself - this bag has seen some really heavy use. It has proven one of my most durable pieces of gear AND one of the lightest. It's extremely rare (in my opinon) to find something that is minimalist AND durable.
Marmot has created something great in this bag - and I can see that the new model has a handle on top for picking up / strapping more stuff on which is a bonus. I expect this pack to last just as long as my Northface Jester (going on 6 years of school use)but in a minimalist package. I'm amazed.

I love this pack. I hike year-round, twice a week regardless of the weather conditions; rain, snow, and sunshine! This pack carries absolutely everything I need including winter gear such as YakTrax for snow/ice on trails. The two outside pockets make the most used items readily available. A bonus is the large, vertical pocket on the outside of the pack. Here, there is a removable foam pad provided. The slot is roomy and I carry other items here also such as a sit pad, the YakTrax, and whatever else one might decide to include. Trekking poles are easily attached to the outside. I would recommend this pack without any hesitation.
I got this in black, and it makes a very practical pack to carry to and from work, etc. Super lightweight, the black doesn't show stains, water repellent, comfortable on your back, and compresses into a little ball by tucking into itself when traveling. I got myself a second one of these in case they stop making them and it has become my second for when I don't want to take my work stuff out of my first one. Recommend highly.

Yes, light weight and compressible. But along with that comes thin fabric that offers no protection. Great for few hours hike with light clothing and lunch. There is a hydration pocket, but the weight of the water makes it difficulty to carry around. I had to dump half the water out to lessen the weight. Good if you're looking for simple light weight short trip duration. Big capacity!
